Photography is not a hobby! When it gets under your skin it is more a way of life and you will look at things differently!!!!
I WAS IN THE SAME DILEMMA AS YOU A WHILE BACK BUT PROFESSIONALLY.
I put a deposit on the D4 then the D800E came out and I switched the deposit to that saving about £1000, 36+ mp was a no brainer - a year and a bit down the line and I do not regret the purchase.
HOWEVER - as it has been previously mentioned - why would you want to start at the top? Learn your craft on a lesser camera - a pre-owned D700 would be ideal then you have something to look forward to on the upgrade - who knows what will be on the market then. Get lenses that will suit a full frame(FX) camera. To learn the advantages of each DO NOT BUY ZOOMS. 24mm, 50mm, 105 Macro and something longer would be ideal. The best zoom lens are your feet when you are learning!!
Enjoy the adventure, I know I have since 1972.

Ok so here goes!
Curve the group slightly with the outer edges nearer to the camera.
Camera on tripod, f/stop should be at least f/11 f/22 would be better. Aperture priority metering. If the shutter speed goes down to 1/8 or 1/15 it does not matter as the camera is on a tripod and the guests will be the only thing moving - just mention to them to keep still. The point of focus should be 1/3 of the way into the part of the group, all of which needs to be in focus.
My expertise: Fuji wedding photographer of the year runner up for the whole of the UK 1991 - groups don't change over the years!!

Hope this helps:
1 I have created a new photo in photoshop with a transparent background (checkerboard).
2 I have copied your logo and put it into Photoshop, adjusted the size and histogram.
3 I used the move tool to put the logo onto the blank sheet.
4 Next was to invert the layer and rub out the background.
5 I then put a 2 pixel stroke on the logo
6 after a couple of tweeks I flattened the image and saved it as a png file. This makes the transparent part transparent when used as a watermark in either photoshop or lightroom.
I have put it on one of my photos so you can see.

Fluorescent tubes give out their light in the form of a line spectra as opposed to a continuous one that tungsten and daylight/flash does. Sodium vapour and mercury vapour are the same . They each have a peak spectra, and in this case the fluorescent is in the green. It can be difficult sometimes to get rid of. In this case no worries!!
