We were at an art festival that is held in the center of town every year on Memorial Day Weekend. In fact I used to sell my photos there for many years.

My sister used to live in Ridgecrest. I've read that there is a parking area about a half-mile walk from the pinnacles. Did you use that parking area? People are allowed to access this area in the middle of the night? Your shots prove the pinnacles are worth a night time visit.
I shoot with a Nikon D4 and just purchased the Sony A7 as a back up camera at weddings and as a light weight camera for daily use when hiking or to have along in the car for unexpected photo opportunities. I'm loving it. It doesn't beat the quality of the Nikon lenses but it's like carrying air and the results are quite good. I've received positive feedback here from my most recent Sony posts.
