That then brings me to choice of series L lens to which to upgrade. I have a Canon 18-200 mm (non L), Sigma 17-70 mm, and Tamron 70-300 mm. I am mainly interested in an all purpose lens so I don't have to carry around several lenses. I am not particularly impressed by the sharpness or output of my 18-200 mm Canon lens. I am interested in a L lens that's not too heavy or expensive and with IS. It seems that the 24-105 L lens may be a good choice but I have been seeing some negative reviews. Any suggestions?

I have at the present time the T1i and I'm using Canon 17-40mm, Tamron 18-270mm (go to lens), Canon 100-400mm, I have other lens but these are pretty much what I use. The only other lens I'd be looking at would be the 10-22mm. I am also looking into upgrading my camera.

I have the Tamron 18-270mm Di ll 1:3.5-6.3 and I'm very happy with this lens. I am on the fence on picking up the Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD Telephoto lens, I also have the Canon 100-400mm 1:4.5-5.6...
questions are:
1-am I crazy?
2-do I really need this lens?
3-am I crazy?
please help!!!

hello, new student here today and I'm glad I found you here. I have a Canon T1i and just started taking photos about 3 years ago. I don't think I have ever used the AUTO setting, I try to get into the habit of looking and checking each time my actual settings for each shot I take; i.e., outside - is it sunny or cloudy? inside, I actually look around to see what type of lighting I have around me.; but should I venture off the tight rope and use a different setting? thank you

I've been using this lens for about a year now and totally love it! it is my go to lens. I also have the Tamron 60mm and I'm very happy with it. Just can't afford to buy all Cannon lens.

I'm fairly new here and to the photography scene, about 3 years now taking pictures. I own a Canon T1i, I have purchased many different lens and have made some good choices so far. I came across this lens and for a fisheye lens the selling price is only $300.00, now I know I don't NEED it, but it could have some advantages and could be fun also. I am not familiar with Samyang as a company and their quality. (is it fair to ask this question here?) is there anyone here with any knowledge of this lens? am I crazy? I love taking beach, ocean, scenery type photos. :?
