There is a type of lamp (both desk & floor style) called Pharmacy Lamps. They come in many different shapes, sizes, styles, and are adjustable. I suggest Googling them and you will probably find what you are looking for.
By the way, I have two of the floor models, and they are absolutely superb for reading and doing other things that require good lighting.
