I got 24-120, 24-70 and 28-300. I use a lot the 28-300 for its sharpness and large coverage in travelling and the 24-70 for family pictures the 24-120 in small events. In general I prefer the 28-300 !

Thanks. I use more Nikon equipment since I got some old lenses (Nikkor 105 f2, 20-35 f2.8, 35-70 f2.8) which I bought with my Nikon F4.
I like portaits and landscapes, have very little experience with macro. I will try to post some of my pix some day.

I have a Nikon D700, 14-24 2.8, 24-70 2.8 ,28-300 3.5 and 80-200 2.8.
I also keep as back-up a Canon XTi with its 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 4 L IS.
I try to compare my Nikkor 24-70 2.8 to my Canon 24-70 2.8 for their sharpness but really can't tell the difference. Please give your opinion.
