I have shot this beach many times but finally managed to arrive with wonderful light backlighting the action.
Boring for some, but I've always had an affinity for the endless supply of wave action here on the Salish Sea/Pacific Ocean.
It's a unique area, in that the energy from the Pacific Ocean is nearly untouched by land masses on its way to Whidbey Island.
The Strait of Juan De Fuca funnels wave energy through the gap between the Olympic Mountains of Washington State and Vancouver Island B.C. Canada.
Timing is everything as they say..... I hope you'll enjoy the textures of these beautiful waves as I've captured them.

I am always open to new and better ways to shoot these kinds of scenes if you have any pointers.

This morning, saw a huge opossum waddling toward our backyard dead Elm tree..
Her pouch was bulging, and she had one little one clinging on her tail for dear life... By the time I got my camera outta the car, she was up the tree about to go into a hole in the tree... Little guy finally got to her back (and I see an extra tail under her bulging pouch, rear view)...

And she's got about three weeks to find new digs, cuz earlier in the week we had a tree service come and give us a bid to remove the tree... The kids will be much bigger by then!
