I have to disagree, Rix. If the story is true (and who knows?) that he walked off his post and wanted to join the Taliban, I don't know that it is treasonous to suggest that the trade might have been a bad one. Gitmo may be a huge blemish on the American Flag, but I am really flummoxed by this turn of events - I don't know how much a traitor is worth.
That's easy. Whatever it costs the government to buy a bullet for a sniper
To completely repair the VA Health System make it the ONLY Healthcare System that the elected officials can use for the rest of their lives
Term Limits should equal One term in office and one term in prison.
If you would like to straighten out our Veteran's care in just a couple of heartbeats just make it the OFFICIAL healthcare of elected Washington. No head-of-the line priveledges, no special hours, no special doctors.

conservatives aren't stupid, it's just that a lot of stupid people are conservative.
Conversely, a whole lot of very dumb people are liberal
Have you ever noticed exactly how much your "smart", liberal, progressive friends have to rely upon their "dumb" neighbors for the ability to survive and be comfortable in their daily lives. If everyone was "smart" it appears we would all perish due to lack of common sense.
When the SHTF the "smart" progressives will be found in the Supermarket holding a can of Pork and Beans wondering how to open it with a P-38
I want to wish all of my brothers and sisters in arms a wonderful day to remember all of their friends who are unable to be here with them.
To everyone else, I hope that you will take a moment to reflect on what the sacrifice of all of these heros has given you and your families.
Freedon is not free. The price is paid in blood.
Just my two Cents form a personal loss POV. One of my best friends, ever had served his country in South East Asia, and although he had money, decided that he would place ALL of his healthcare in the hands of VA. In December of 2012 he completed swimming over 150 miles in the YMCA Pool. Not bad for a seventy year old.
In January he started to go down hill with pain, leg edema and shortness of breath. His VA facility (which was 90 miles away, one way) started having him come to the facility up to five time a week for tests and Dr visits. Until he was too weak to continue.
Eventually, they admitted him and in Late August (almost 10 months later) his Doctor (a Resident) came in to tell him that it was Final Stage Multiple Myeloma and had him admitted directly to Hospice. He lasted less than two weeks.
His wishes were to have his body given to a local medical school for training and then cremation of remains with his ashes spread in one of his favorite locations. The VA was aware of all of this.
His family had to come from Europe and it took a while for the executor of his estate to get back to the VA to make arrangements to pick up the body. The VA told them that the executor had told told them over the phone that he was indegent and they could bury him. The family got there just one day too late to either get the body or witness his burial. All they could do was drive another 90 miles and visit a fresh grave in a muddy field.
I am also a veteran and I want it known that the Veterans Administration Hospital is ABSOLUTELY my last choice for care under any circumstances!!!
Just a thought. If everyone in the administration is so damned innocent, why don't they jump on the chance to prove it in front of a bipartisan Senate panel at the earliest possible date instead of kicking and screaming like a spoiled two year old?
The fact is the government "perceived" a problem involving way less than 10% of the population and dismantled what was a working system and built a mluti-trillion boondoggle that nobody know how is going to come out.
We had the equivalent of a small leak in the garage and decided to tear down the house and build a 40 story skyscraper without benefit of blueprints.
I like her! If she doesn't win maybe we could take up a collection to have her "visit" the lobbiests
Prayers up for all concerned.
FIREFIGHTING.......The most fun you can have with your clothes on.
