I think Longshadow deserves an apology from bobforman. Longshadow's use of an emoji (agreeing with Rcarol) was correct.

Summer isn't the most popular time to visit Florida. We used to go there in February. Now there's another reason, besides heat, to think twice about trip down there: malaria. It's carried by mosquitos, and it's spreading, with six cases as of last night. There is one case in TX.

WOW, with 6 cases I guess the federal government needs to appoint a Malaria Czar. (p-s-s-st-t- don't tell them).

I like the G-series too. Anytime I want a quality digital camera without needing to take an interchangeable-lens camera, I pop my G9X-II on to a pants / shorts pocket and shoot away.

Totally agree. I too use the Canon G9X-Mark II. 1" sensor good image quality and touch screen.

I was going thru some old photos I had taken during my time in the Army in 1968. I was a draftee stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC at the time. Very busy because of the Viet Nam war. I met a real nice nurse there but but because of Army regulations I couldn't ask her out on a date. I was an Sp4 & she was an officer. A lieutenant or a Captain if I remember right. Don't know if she would have gone out with me anyway. I would like to get in touch with her for old time sake. It's hard when you don't remember some ones name. Heck. It's only been 54 years. Any one know her please ask her if she would like me to meet again for old time sake. After all it's only been 55 years since I've seen her. Don't know if she's alive or dead. I guess it would take a miracle to find her. Thank you for any help you cn give me.

That is IF she can go to a camera shop.
Or
She can order 5 systems and see which one has the best ergonomics in her own home and then return the rest. That would help increase the refurb inventory for us all to enjoy.

I totally disagree with the concept of ordering multiple cameras and then returning all but one. That's selfish and immediately diminishes the value of cameras that were returned, working against the best interests of Photographic equipment sellers.

Anyone have a Lumix ZS19 or ZS20 in good condition that you want to sell at a reasonable price?

Not a kindle expert but have used various models. Have you tried holding the power button for at least 20 seconds causing it to reset?

It's hard to imagine why some people will buy the same model car 15-20 years later. Just because they had good fortune with the first one doesn't mean the most recent will be as good since many changes occur through the years.

We have a Toyota Avalon Hybrid, and I like it a lot. It is not a plug-in hybrid, though. Sadly, Toyota dropped the Avalon line recently. But I'm 73 and with luck this will be the last car I ever buy.

Uhh-h-h, NO with luck and God's blessing you'll live so much longer you will have to buy another car.

I use and endorse Wet and Forget outdoor products, they work on everything from tombstones to vinyl siding.
While many products will seriously damage tombstones. I have very successfully used Wet & Forget on our family tombstones with dramatic results.
Whatever you use it on make sure that it is dry, saturate the target, and walk away and rain will take care of the rest.
We treat the family tombstones twice a year to keep the lichens and moss at bay.
Follow the instructions and do not think that making it stronger will make it work better or faster.
Do not expect it to work overnight on heavily soiled areas. It will take several applications over a period of time to work.
However, when it starts to work the results will be dramatic.
Finally, Costco usually carries this in the gardening section in the spring for a competitive price or you may get it at: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=wet+and+forget+outdoor&crid=1K0R1HSOE9OBT&sprefix=wet+and+forget%2Caps%2C120&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_1_14

I hate to be a party pooper regarding "Wet and Forget". A neighbor recommended it to me. I sprayed one section of driveway with very poor results. Supposedly it works over time with the rain etc. NOPE, it did not. I still have half a bottle in the garage collection dust I was so disappointed. Perhaps it works on house siding better than driveways.

Obviously some of the stuff we buy through US companies have been made in China but I don't hve to knowingly buy from a company like Temu who I know are chinese. AND, NO I will not buy and electric car. On larger purchases like TVs it's not difficult to research where they are made.

Making no judgement but I'd like to suggest something to keep in mind. Personally I do not do any more business with Chinese sourced products than necessary. I have nothing against the the Chinese people but their tyranical political system derives it's power from the strength of the economy which has clearly engaged in economic conflic with our own system.

I totally agree. I can't understand why any American supports the Chinese economy!
