Chit Chat
No photographic value to this thread.

In Chit Chat does there have to be photographic value?
Why the ultra sensitivity about content. There was no immoral sexual content, no political rants, and the grammar was pretty good. Maybe someone just likes to complain.
Wow! Someone knows the difference. It is getting more and more difficult for me to read these days. It's not that my 75 year old eyes aren't working. It's that the 'educated' people in today's world don't seem to care for correct usage in both writing and speaking, and it hurts my eyes to see it.
Some of our local news people on the TV have actually blocked my emails to them. I think they got tired of my calling their hand on their usage. We have one news anchor who once said, when covering a disaster story, there was a helicopter 'hoovering' over the scene. I had visions of a giant vacuum sweeper moving across the land.
Oh, tell me again, what is a pedant?
Can you spell, "it takes only about 15 seconds to proof read?"
On another note; I am too old and not active enough in photography any more to spend the money to buy a D500, but from the reviews I have read and seen, it is an awesome camera.
I have used AVG for over ten years with no problems. I do not plan to change.
When you force a child to go to Santa, or anyone else for that matter that they don't like or are afraid of, you have taught that child that he can't say no. So what happens if that child later on is approached by a predator? Is it going to be more difficult for that child to say no or to run away?
Here's a link to a website giving some of the possible origins and meanings of this nursery rhyme.
https://www.nurseryrhymes.com/rock-a-bye-baby-song-origin-and-meaning/.
Two questions from me.
Is it to be believed that a child small enough to be rocked in a cradle is capable of deducing the meaning of the words in the rhyme?
Is there any statistical data regarding psychological harm that could be done to the child by reciting the rhyme as you rock the child to sleep?
It is the age-old problem of electronic communication. People are willing to say certain things to someone else when they are not face to face. You see, when you are face to face, the offended person can reach out and slap you. When they are miles apart and the communication is non-verbal, you can say things that bring no immediate consequence, such as the slap in the face.
I think they call people who do that cowards, chickens, etc, etc, along with some expressions that would not be appropriate if you want to avoid being classified with the offenders.
BTW, I love this website and pretty much ignore the nay-sayers.
Probably an English teacher. Sometimes they are the worst offenders.

At my favorite birding spot. Madera canyon, the manager has been trying the same tactic to discourage the wild turkeys, coatamundi and ring-tails from eating all the bird seed. It's not working well yet.
He may have to had more spice
More spice won't help. Birds don't mind the hot pepper. One of the best treats you can give an exotic bird, i.e. parrot, macaw, etc, is to hang a dried cayenne pepper in the cage. They go after it.
This is why the hot pepper ploy works with squirrels. The hot pepper has the same effect on them that it does on a human. I buy crushed red pepper at Sams club where I can get it in a large container and I mix it with the bird seed.
It does no lasting harm to the squirrel and it gets the job done to save money on bird seed.
In Arkansas, unless you are a transplanted 'yankee', you have dinner at noon and supper after 5 p.m. That can vary depending on which part of Arkansas you're living in.
I am a transplanted yankee, but grew up in Illinois. My step-father was from Oklahoma and my mother's folks were from Carbondale, Illinois, a university town, so I am comfortable with either expression.
When I edit photos I do nothing more than I would do in a darkroom, sharpen, tweak the color, adjust the horizon line, and perspective correction, so Paint Shop Pro has satisfied my needs for years. It does offer some sophisticated features that one might find on Photoshop, but I never use them. Paint Shop also offers processing of dynamic range and raw files.

Drives me crazy when I hear people say Suposively!!!
Yes. Or 'supposibly'. Then there is 'undoubtebly'. Given some time, I could come up with a whole string of them.

Did you mean 'grammar'?
Good catch.
My only excuse is that I have lived in northeast Arkansas for over thirty years. I don't mean to be hyper-critical, but I meet a lot of people here who will say, "Don't tell me how to say something! I talk good enough to get along. D@*% Yankee!
I grew up in Illinois. Oh well.

The lens is your tool
Nice job
And what a good tool it is. I have one of those lenses and consider it one of the best I have owned.
