This looks great! What editing program do you use?

Another thought . . . . you might check out the new Nikon 1. It has a compact body with the versatility of changing lenses. However, it doesn't have a view finder, which in my opinion, is essential.
This is exactly as I would have cropped this picture. (The picture cropped with just the couch and no vignette) The attention is now drawn to your subjects and looks professional!

After much research, I ordered the Nikon D3100 in January of this year and there hasn't been a day that I haven't taken a picture! I bought a DSLR when I couldn't get a clear picture of my always moving 2 year old Granddaughter! For a camera under $1000.00 it is just wonderful. It is very user friendly and the pictures you get using the auto settings are incredible. However, you can learn to set it manually and get the results of a high end professional camera as well. I bought a bundle deal at www.ritzcamera.com for $799.00 which included the 18-55 & 55-200mm lenses, a nice camera bag and Nikon instructional video. (no tax or shipping ever!) Both lenses included vibration control which is essential. I have since added a Nikon 35mm lens that is I enjoy as well. I have an 8GB class 10 SD card that insures fast action when snapping those special moments. I am attaching some pictures of an Osprey that I took while fishing with my husband at Lake Oconee in Greensboro, GA. I was using my 55-200mm lens and was sitting in the back of his bass boat that was rocking in the wake of a lot of other boats on a busy day! I am also including a butterfly shot with the same lens that I took at Anna Ruby Falls in Helen, GA.
An osprey takes flight from his nest with his half eaten fish!
The late evening sun provided beautiful natural lighting
Just happened to have my camera at the right moment
