I have bought refurbished items from Cameta Camera and have never had a problem with any of them. Most items are factory refurbished and Cameta also gives a one year warranty on them.
All of the refurbished items I got from them looked like brand new. One advantage of buying a factory refurbished item, is that it has been gone over and checked out so you know it's going to work like it should.

If you check ebay, you can find plenty of extension tubes for Olympus cameras.
I just got a set for my M4/3 cameras that have the contacts for auto focusing and metering.
True macro lenses have an extremely shallow DOF, like millimeters, so not a lot in the frame is going to be in focus.

Been there and done that. And know how hard it is to do, but like others said you have to do what is in the best interest for Otis.
Our family had several Beagles when I was growing up. They are great dogs!

Thank you for your comments, nanaval and barbedwire.
Not bad for a 1/2.3″ backlit CMOS image sensor,eh?
This little ICL camera never ceases to amaze me. Even though I have four DSLRs I have fun shooting with this little guy.

Hello,
I am new to Ugly Hedgehog and a new owner of the Olympus OMD5. While I am still getting use to my new camera I would like to hear from some of you who own and are using this camera. Some of the ins and outs and what you especially like and don't like. I am a senior who loves talking pictures of people, landscape and wildlife.

You will really like this camera once you get used to it and learn all that it can do. I just got the OMD E-M10 and it it is taking me a little time to get familiar with the controls and menus.
There are a lot of videos on youtube that can help you out with the M5.
Good luck with your camera and am looking forward to seeing some images you get with it.

A photo of an event or of a particularly interesting person could very well have a story behind it. But a photo of a static item like a flower by itself, not so much. It's just a pretty image.
Of course if you have a very good imagination, you could make up a story about almost anything you see.

Nice series Soul Dr. I find B&W photos of the items in the antique store to be particularly appealing.

Thank you Howard. Yes, you can find some very interesting items in these stores.

Too bad the Pentax Q doesn't have a viewfinder. If it did, it would be perfect for my big trip coming up.

I have an LCD viewer that attaches magnetically to the back when I need to go that route.

Thanks for the info Steve. That's a nice looking camera. I used Pentax cameras way back in the 35mm days, my favorite was the KX, basically a K1000 with mirror lockup.

I had a K1000 back in the day, it was my first serious camera. And I have one still now, with the brown leatherette covering instead of the usual black.

I'm not familiar with this camera. Are these straight out of the camera, or converted?

Thanks, JackM

These are the way they come out of the camera, I have it setup to take B&W images the way I want. I mostly only use this camera for B&W shooting, even though it can do color very nicely too.

If you would like some info on this camera, here is a link to a good review of it. It has been replaced by some newer model Qs but I like the original one best as it has the magnesium alloy body the others don't.

Very nice. The Pixie 127 took me back about 50 years. I think that's what got me interested in photography to begin with. Good job on the lamps in the window, too:-)

Thank you, Bruce.

Here are some B&W images I took with my Pentax Q.
I love how I can set up this little guy to get the kind of images I want in B&W. All the pics were shot hand held with available light.
For those not familiar with this camera, it was billed as the world's smallest ICL camera when it came out. Being so small it is very hardly noticed when I am out shooting with it.
