I have lived on a lake with many waterbirds for 15 years and have never seen a bird like this. Can anybody identify it? When I first saw it a few months ago, i thought it might be a baby and would change to white but it remains a strange mix of color!

I did realize that number one is over exposed but left it as was. I will try to work with it. I did try to enhance number two but this was the best I could get. Thank you for your input! It clarified the problems for me!

wonderful! I had monarchs swarming in the garden around my milkweed and thought I would get some babies but - no luck! So, am happy to see yours! mayb next year!

Thank you for the kudos (thumbs up)! My first post so I am encouraged to try again! I use a Lumix fz47 and it is about as technical as I can get. I love taking nature shots - most in my yard.

A mallard is a funny looking woodstork and woodstorks are pretty funny looking - but very sweet. This one comes right up to me.
