I have the 18-270 on my D7000 and find this is a solid combination. If you hsave the money, the the 16-300 is a solid choice, but with the rebates that Tamron is offering, either is a great selection.

I live by one of Kodak's former processing facilities in NJ that was sold about 5 yrs ago and is now an apartment complex. Except for sentimental value, they wouldn't even be worth the price of the stamps you would need to mail it.
When I was a kid, I worked for one their big competitors, Scott Photo, on Long Island. There were close to 100 people working there and we processed close to 10,000 rolls of B&W and Color print film daily (we sent out the chromes) and now it's all gone. Sad!!

and make sure you have a solid tripod and if you are going for long exposures (> 5 seconds), a motorized head if you don't want a really sharp image.

I tried both manufacturer and 3rd party FX lens on my D7000, I really did not see any better images, just larger given the smaller sensor. If you are going to eventually move to something like a D750, then this is a smart choice. Otherwise, no real advantage and you will lose the wider angle shots.

Denise- sorry to hear about this but I think anyone who is not skeptical of an ebay or craigslist purchase that seems too good to be true, then " buyer beware" should be your mantra.
Whenever I shop on ebay or Amazon, I always look at the seller's rating and volume of sales. Less than 95% satisfaction or few sales and I shop elsewhere. Same for stores where you can easily check on the performance by searching the store name and review.
Hope it works out for you

Places like Adorama, B&H and Cameta are reliable, honest and have both a brick and mortar store as well as online business. You can also call them for info prior to sales and post-purchase questions. I find their prices are very good especially if you look at their packages that let them discount without havig the hassles of MSRP to worry about. Also, they have excellent refurb offers for even more savings.
You might save a few $ online with no-name places but when you look deeper, it is often grey market or refurb sold as new. If you want to buy used and save $, then look to KEH as this is all they sell and are extremely reliable for classifying their equipment and backing up what they sell.

These same shops often have factory refurb deals which carry a decent warranty. Bought 2 Nikons from Cameta Camera - both refurb- that came with a 1 year warranty and wre part of a bundle with lens, etc.. Never had to use the warrantly since everything has worked perfectly

You may have to download the latest firmware from Yongnou. Found this on another message board: http://flashhavoc.com/yongnuo-yn560-tx-to-yn-622c-compatibility-added/ .
Good luck. I bought the Yongnou 622 system (transceivers and transmitter) for my Nikon D700 and SB600 +700 speedlites. Got it on Monday- returned it on Wednesday. Too many mis-triggering errors, lost communications, etc. Bought the Phottix Strato system (less expensive than the Odin but nearly as good). Transmitter and 2 receivers for $180 - NO problems

When I went to the B&H in NYC, they had both a Nikon branded grip for my D700 and their own label grip to compare. Both were about the same weight, both could take an additional niMH battery or AAs, and both had the same features. The only discernible difference I could see was the price (3x more for the Nikon).
When I then asked the salesman why the $ difference, he smiled and pointed to the Nikon logo. He then showed me both were made in China and when I then asked if they come from the same factory, he shrugged. BTW the guarantee was the same.
Things like grips are like lens covers and eye cups. Nikon makes cameras and lenses. Everything else they put out to bid. Don't think Canon, Sony, Panasonic are any different

My first comment is "great photo". Lots of things come to mind (seeing something new, sadness, realizing he is growing up, etc.) but we'll never know what truly was going in the boy's mind. Just a nice picture to enjoy!

C'mon, unless you fall into the "one born every minute" category, I would be very cautious about this new site.
If the price sounds too good, then it probably is. At best it may be grey market or refurbished, but new stuff at below dealer cost is simply not believable.

Sure, I use it all the time. Honest and timely reviews. Great resource that is better than a company-sponsored one.

Wouldn't expect to see a D7200 any time soon. Nikon is looking to grow its' full frame footprint with the D750 and also push their entry-level DSLR offerings, leaving the D7100 market for folks who want the price point of an DX camera but with the high-end features of FX cameras. Maybe next year we'll see a D7200 or even a D8000 line with features found in the D750.

HI. Tamron released this new lens just after I bought my 18-270. I did try it at a local camera expo where Tamron was showing their lens (even let me put it on my D7000!) and it is a fantastic lens! I know people will say you should stick with manufacturer's glass (i.e. Nikon or Canon), but the price/value point of the Tamron lenses cannot be beat. I did try the Sigma lenses as well, but I find that Tamron has faster, sharper and more solid lenses than the competition.
In any case, you should go to a camera store and try it on your camera so you can see how it looks and operates. Plus if you do go with Tamron, they often have great rebates.
