I have a tamrac bag that I am quite happy with (nothing is perfect I suppose). It is a fairly good size bag and has partitions that are designed to hold two cameras with lenses and in addition is sectioned off to hold at least two lenses. In addition it has covered pockets on the outside ends that can hold a lot of odds and ends as well as two good sized zipper closed pockets on the front outside. It measures approx 16x10x9, has a handle on top or you can attack a shoulder strap.

I live in Columbus, Indiana, and we have NO walk in camera store less than 50 miles away. I therefore have to rely on the internet which means there is always an element of luck deciding suitability with some kinds of purchases when you can't actually examine the item. I wish we had a good camera store here.

Second, without question, extension tubes absolutely DO increase magnification of any lens. The longer the tube, the greater the magnification.

Had you read Introduction to True Macro-Photography at http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-22447-1.html , you would have known that both of these topics have been covered.[/quote]

I do not believe that is true - I believe Bill is correct - extension tubes do not increase magnification. Magnification is a function of the lens. The apparent increase in magnification is really just an increase in image size as a result of getting closer, which is what "Macro Photography" is all about.

Lym,
In my opinion, anyone that wants to learn more about DSLR Photography will find the educational/instructive videos made by Mike Browne to be fantastic. He has a talent for teaching that is truely impressive, and it's all available on youtube - hundreds of videos. You can just do a web search on the name Mike Browne or you can go here to start....

The only significant indicators of honesty in a FOR SALE transaction is that the item was described as truthfully as possible and then delivered as described.

It's true that modern digital cameras are fantastic at automating picture taking, but that doesn't mean one should not learn more about using their camera if they want to do the best camera work possible. There are situations where the auto functions work poorly or not at all. For instance auto focus can fail in poor light or back lit scenes, exposure control can be confused by some content and knowing how to control this can make all the difference. Then there are camera settings that if one takes manual control of can sometimes make great improvements i.e. manual setting of WB, manual setting of Focus point, optimizing flash use, etc.
