I guess it is a google program tnx.
Tnx all I will need to become more familiar with the program and yes u can't beat the price as it came with my D90.
How does everyone feel about nikons program called viewnx?
I have used pisca but assumed there something more to it I did not understand. Never figured out how to catalog my photos using it.
Which is better at post processing pisca or gimp as I do not understand either one. Not being a computer person fer say makes it difficult to crasp these programs.
That is where the focus lock should come into play once u have focused if u set the focus lock u should be able to use the remote to actvate the shutter remotely, have not tried it but shouild work.
See them out in the daylight quite frequently here in north central Pa, little buggers really raising hob with our old outhouse on our old farm, they are real wood chewrs.
What a great series that is most certainly what u call being at the right place at the right time and being fully prepared for the action. Great Job
1 nikon film-1 nikon dslr- 1 panasonic P&S and maybe 1 nikon full frame possible.
That is also my understanding that the rear lens on a fx lens is placed closer to the sensor and yes Nikon makes both DX and fx lens.I am also to understand that older lens designed for film cameras were of full frame or at least realativly close to full frame.I would still think the best method of using fx camera with DX lens is shoot fx and crop the edges to eleminate vegnettimg if nessasary.
Anyway its all part of the enjoyment to see what works and what does not as long as we do not damage our equipment.
No question that a fx lens on a fx body is the perfect match. Most of my lens are older made for late model film cameras, after some research it seems they may be of full frame format. I do have an 18 to 105 that came with my D90 and a 10.5 fisheye I have fun playing with and I see nikon does not even offer that lens in fx, that being so wide it may not even be noticeable on a fx body.
Thank you MT and oddjobber for for ur inputs I am an old body with a lot to learn so I really enjoy this site with everyone's input very valuble.
Is it possible to get great results using a full frame camera and dx lens by cropping the edges to eliminate the vignetting? And also this is keeping the camera in fx format not allowing it to switch dx crop sensor. Maybe the pixel loss would be less sever through manual crop and I suppose this would be best accomplished if shot in raw and done in post processing. I ask this question because I believe I would like to try full frame but have some older film lens the still work very well and they are the faster 2.8's. A true amateur with a desire to save some money after the cost of expensive camera. Maybe D610 if can put it together, Still enjoy my old D90 though, will make great backup. Good day to all
tnx to all the responses, I was mostly curious when shopping for used lens how one determines the difference between dx and fx, as I have a friend who thinks he may like to purchase a used nikon 80mm to 400 4.5 by 5.6. All the ones we have looked at on ebay read nikon ED, maybe this lens was only ever meant for full frame cameras.
