Just what is this animal known as "gun control". Please do not allow any person who claims the profession "politician" to get involved in this discussion. Their solutions to every problem is more money and more legislation. Politicians think gun control is votes. My military buddies think gun control should be applied to politicians. Several different ideas, don't you think?
Larry,
Pileateds like suet and the blend that WBU sells. The large birds are visiting my deck-mounted feeders every day. When they see the camera they pose.
Be sure to check with the rental places. Some large glass is available quite reasonably. I am envious. How long are you on safari?
I am very interested in the ring flash if you still have it.
CNN is trying to do to photogs what the airlines tried to do with pilots. Airline officials began to believe that they were the revenue producers and pilots were over-paid, evil necessities. We called these people "bean counters" because that is all they could do. These persons used to shuffle in and out of different companies, usually leaving under less than pleasant circumstances. But the pilots stayed with one carrier (usually). Now, most of the "beaners" have gone back to selling real-estate and the pilots still fly. Since CNN decided to exit the news reporting business, it is easier to make it up than to investigate the real thing, pro photogs are now "evil non-necessities".
What goes around ...
I believe this response is the ultimate "oxymoron". A "Radioman" informs me of a quick response to capturing an image with a "simple' camera and refers to the action as "shooting".
In all honesty this explains the "why' of my question. But the term "simple" camera is opens up a whole new can of worms. But that is another issue.
Anywho, thanx to all for your inputs. I really like this place. I was welcomed by many to the "Hog" and that is nice. What a nice place, what a nice crowd.
The logical response is "why a snapshot"? Why not a "snap photo"?
Why is a photograph referred to as a "shot"? Can photography and mixology be so similar? This imponderable has "bugged" people for years.
