We now live in SW Florida. Lived for over 30 years in Williamsburg. Saw many Christmas celebrations in the historic area. We were with a dance group which danced at many Groaning Boards during the Christmas holidays at the Lodge. Your photo looks like the Williamsburg Inn. Merry Christmas to all.
I have an older desktop pc with os 8.?. What are recommendations for rebuilding it into an awesome photo editing machine. Parts and source suggestions appreciated.
The marine industry has several solutions for boaters. You might google in that area. Wirey (sp) is a name that comes to mind.
Is there a similar site for Canon cameras and lenses?
Thanks Dik. I’ll look into your suggestion.

Hi Brent,
Your setup looks like what I would like to try. I tried to print a picture of your setup with no luck. In down load the pic is cut off making it unusable. Is this some kind of copyright issue. Will you send me copies of the two photos so I can duplicate your setup? Maybe with dimensions. My camera is a Canon T5i with the kit lenses 18-55 and 55-250. I also have a 50mm f/1.4 prime and a 85mm f/1.8 prime. In addition I have a set of Kenko extension tubes. Hopefully I will be able to copy some of the many slides I took forty some years ago.
Thanks in advance,
Flash Gordon

If Nikon Canada will repair an out of warranty or gray market product why not just send it to them? S&H can’t be that much different from sending it to Nikon USA.
Being new to digital photography I find the various camera models very confusing. Is there a site or spread sheet which lists the various camera models by number such as D850 or T5i that has a meaningful comparison of what they are and what their features are? Full frame vs APS-C, etc, etc. There seem to be so many model numbers which change so frequently it’s hard to get a grip on what their capabilities and features are. I’m sure a complete listing by price would give me an idea but, that may not be very effective. Help!
I have read the manual for my Canon T5i and can not seem to find how to use on camera flash for fill when the camera computer does not call for it. Often I would like to use the on camera flash manually for fill even though it would otherwise not be necessary. Bright sunny day but, subject is in a shadow. Any suggestions?
Try Goodwill or some such store. It won’t be top quality but, it will be inexpensive.
Several years ago we were able to tour a Japanese coast guard vessel which was visiting the USA in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. On the bridge was a radar screen manufactured by a Japanese company. All of the controls and screen information were in english. Those sailors did have an English to Japanese cheat sheet next to the equipment. I wonder if the Japanese coast guard still purchases Gray Market equipment.
