Here are a few more, this time from Greece and NYC.
Here are a few from a trip to Italy many years ago.

A few more reflections. I think I used the one from Luray Caverns for a "rocks" challenge in the past.
Here are a handful of reflections from some recent walks through various Northern Virginia parks and nature preserves.
Here are two where a little work made a world of difference. For the first one, I liked how the squirrel's tail mimicked the branch, but the other branches were distracting. Pruning those in Photoshop and then tweaking a few settings helped the overall shot. For the shot of Abe Lincoln at Ford's Theater in DC, the original was too dark and I didn't like the distractions in the background, so after removing those, toning down the background, and then boosting the shadows in the foreground, it got much closer to what I wanted.
I haven’t had the time to post for a few weeks, but the massive ice storm that hit just before Christmas gave me some material for this challenge. The first two are from the ice storm. The last one is a shot of some ice crystals that formed on the kitchen window that I’ve posted before, but not for a frozen challenge.
A few shots taken during a hike along Beaverdam Reservoir in Ashburn, Virginia this past weekend.
Here are a few where the light was challenging, either because it was too harsh or the backlighting was too strong, but playing around with the photos afterward helped things pop. I included the original and final version of each. Everything looks better in download.
Original version: Gorilla at San Diego Zoo; backlit and washed out.

Final version after processing.

Original version: St. Peter's Basilica in Rome; caught the sunbeam, but washed out a bit.
(

Final version after processing to remove haze and get colors to pop more (plus a little geometric tweaking)
(

Original version: German Shepherd with sunbeams
(
Download)
Final version after processing to tone down the highlights and boost the colors a bit.
(
Download)
Original version: Michelangelo's second copy of David in the Piazza della Signoria, Florence, Italy. (Original statue was moved to the Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze to get it out of the elements)
(
Download)
Final version after processing to bring out details and shadows (and remove some pesky light fixtures by his foot)
(
Download)
Original version: Jaguar at Belize Zoo; flash on foliage overwhelmed the main subject.
(
Download)
Final version after processing to tone down the light reflecting on the leaves and bring more focus on the jaguar.

p.26 And a fine batch it is. Is that The Duomo in Milan? Really enjoy traveling with you with all your images.
Actually, that’s Notre Dame in Paris, pre-fire.
Here are a few more sepias for Day 2. Some with just a sepia filter and some with a bit of extra stylization. All are from Paris, Athens or Rome.
Got some time to add a few more for Day 1...
Here’s one for today. I’ll try to find some time tomorrow to post more.
