I bought an IPS monitor on Black Friday at Best Buy after the crowds were gone. Could have bought online for same price but this way I had immediate use of it. Bought a Spyder4pro and small stuff from B&H on Cyber Monday.

There was another story about a 60 year old woman shooting a couple of teens that attacked her but it turned out not to be legit.

I found one that might be here http://www.wilx.com/news/featured/headlines/Dangerous-Game---Point-em-Out-Knock-em-Out-231443411.html

I also saw a story that a St. Louis "knockout game" perpetrator was shot and killing in a separate burglary attempt.

I have no problem with these suffering whatever consequences they encounter for this behavior. That's the the price they pay to prey on innocent people.

At first glance it's easy to go along with the charge of 'humble-brag' but it's hard to deny the facts that he was the first respondent to the accident and that he did help the victims out of the car.

Then I got to thinking about what it must be like to live life in his shoes. Almost everything he has accomplished and will ever accomplish, most people will say, "Well, he's had everything handed to him, what would you expect."

He wasn't thinking, "Oh, this will look good on my resume if I ever want to pursue a political office."

I think all he was thinking about when he witnessed the accident was to respond to the event and react as he did.

I think what prompted him to send that tweet was a chance to show that he isn't just a product of his family's fortunes.

Poor kid can't catch a break. Now they'll be throwing this in his face as well.

The system (on both sides of the aisle) is basically corrupt. Lobbyists and their money wield much too much power. Politicians are judged by their constituents by how much money they can bring back from DC. So in effect every one is to blame, The only solution is some sort of curbs on this kind of activity and a president that will veto any bill with pork. This of course will never happen.

Which implies that the new rules are not motivated by a desire to reform politics but to silence opposition. Disclosure of donors is needed so the adminstration knows who to have the IRS audit. It also helps organizations that use intimidation to know where send "protesters".

A devout tea party friend swore to me that Obama was going to declare martial law before the last election and cancel it.
Only a moron would swallow this stuff.

Like a college professor during the Bush years that gets paid to indoctrinate, oops, educate our children?

Yeah, that's what I say, there are no unemployed, just people looking for a paid vacation. (I hope you become unemployed soon)(I just want you to have a vacation)

Of course it's not everybody but it might explain why my long ago frequently unemployed former brother in-law used to take six months to find a new job.

What a bunch of BS!

More right wing nuts being nutty!

Keep it up your approval ratings are now below 30%!

We the people know you all are just nuts!

I see you are in your usual fine form.

In the unlikely event that Obama actually did declare martial law, I am sure we could count on you to claim it isn't happening or if it was, it's needed and only right wing nut jobs and anarchists would have a problem with martial law.

During the George W Bush presidency, a left wing college professor wrote a piece speculating that Bush would declare martial law and make himself president for life. I intuitively knew that was a bunch of hogwash and I was right.

We tend to think worst of the other guy in politics and can assemble circumstantial evidence into the worst scenario. Knowing this leads me to expect that such speculations about Obama will also eventually discredited by history. But on the other hand, being human and seeing things over the last 5 years, I won't rest easy until the next president is sworn in on Jan 20, 2017.

It is a sad day when a defender of our constitution claims McCarthy was right.

Not that his tactics were without controversy but I recall that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, it was revealed that McCarthy was right about many things contrary to what it's useful idiots claimed at the time.

We seem to be more civilized in our area. Black Friday has typically been a time to get to know people and share some camaraderie. I cut back this year only standing in line with my teenage son to get his first laptop and a few laid back after rush stops later.

you are correct ... because the article is slanted..... when the story hit the newspapers .... there were liberal groups that were subject to close review ....this was a case of civil servants just doing their job as the defined them ....nothing sinister

This article may be predictably slanted but it is talking about new actions and is entirely plausible given the track record of the Obama administration.

I presume you are talking about the IRS scandal from prior to the last Presidential election but you are being willfully ignorant believe that liberal groups and conservative groups were treated equally. Why did IRS employees testify that conservative groups were targeted? Why did an IRS commissioner take the 5th? Why would you choose to disregard the evidence and choose to believe the same people who told you that Benghazi was caused by a Youtube video and that "if you want to keep your healthcare plan, you can keep it. Period!"?
