Initial search online yielded not results. Perhaps someone has had a similar quest and found out a source for a sponge jacket for Marsace mt-3541 Carbon Fiber Tripod. The sponge jacket goes around the tripod legs.

I too use a Nest gimbal. But there is more to consider then just the gimbal. Your tripod, must support (to be safe) about three times the total weight of your camera and largest lens. Ditto, gimbal.

I believe you must look ahead also.
Assume you decide to get a super zoom (150-600), your tripod must support twice the total weight of your camera, lens, gimbel, etc.

It is only an hour train ride for me and I have attended each year for the past 6? To me it is worth just getting to touch and feel new stuff, see all the new gadgets and hopefully get to shake hands with some of our members here.
