Because of the rapidly changing light conditions, I use auto ISO. I was shooting at F6.3 using crop sensor D500 with 200-500mm nikkor at 500mm X 1.4. We were 3.9 miles away. Shutter minimum 1/500 -1/1600 . Hope that helps
