Truly outstanding photos that clearly demonstrate your technical and composition abilities.

I have spent many hours on the beach observing these birds, their beauty and amazing flight abilities. I am trying to determine if it is just my fading memory; but, when I was young back in the late 40's and early '50's I do not recall seeing them here in NC (at least not in any significant number). I recall being amazed by their numbers when I first started diving in the Florida Keys back in the mid 70's; beginning in the 90's I started noticing them here in larger and larger numbers. Perhaps their increased numbers (as with so many of the birds of prey) is a result of the DDT ban.

Here's looking forward to more photos of Brown Pelicans and more of your excellent captures and narrative.

Never sooc, always cooked.

While I would agree that there is a tendency of far too many photographers to over cook their photos, this (in my opinion) is not one of them.

Do you mean booming economy, great job numbers, better America land?

Oh Jesus, this ridiculous post has devolved from a hateful observation (that should never have been made) into a political discussion.

Administrator it is past time to close this down.

What is your problem. He is not and does not claim to be a "professional" photographer and all my usage of his site is in regard to equipment reviews (they have been excellent and spot on), not "how to" photography tips.
I highly recommend that you get a life.

I am not using my D610 for real estate photos as you have indicated as your primary purpose. That said for any general usage I would recommend the Nikon SB400 (you will need to find this used on eBay) for an extremely compact low power unit (see Ken Rockwell's review on this) and I have found the SB600 (also an older flash available on eBay for my more powerful requirements). For the lens I have the same 50mm f/1.8g that you indicate; however, the vast majority of my usage is with the 28-300.
Wishing you the very best and hope/trust you will find the D610 to be as fantastic a camera as I have.

Just opened PSE 15, no issues. I just updated my Windows 10 last evening and have PSE 2020 simultaneously installed; but, 15 opened and worked perfectly.

I am a user of Elements 15 who recently purchased Elements 2020, while I plan to keep and explore it I do not see any overwhelming reason to purchase the newer version.

Another vote for the SB-400. On my D610 and D7100 I never use the on board flash (far too weak and limiting) I use the 400 or larger flash (if more power is called for). It will provide bounce and it is at least twice a powerful as well as being very compact.

I found mine on eBay, got an excellent low click camera at a reasonable price. As I stated earlier I have been very pleased with it.

I've been using a D610 (combined with at 28-300) for a bit over a year now; it was an upgrade from my D7100. Mine had a shutter count under 10,000 when purchased (now over that), I paid about $650 on eBay. It is proving to be an outstanding camera; I love it and the results it gives me. My usage revolves around shots of grandkids/family, birds, scenic landscapes, social group gatherings, and action shots of skiers racing on a slalom course; it has excelled at all.
I hope it is obvious that I really enjoy this camera and think very highly of it.

No, I think we'd need a new section for dead nudes.

Its very possible that with all the toxic ink so many of the models have from tattoos they probably will be dead soon.........

I have used the AF-S 1:4.5-5.6G VR for many years at this point, due to getting a 18-200 for my DX work and 28-300 for my FX work it no longer gets the usage it once did. However, that said I have always found it to be an excellent lens on my D80, D7100, and D610 bodies. It has provided excellent results in a multitude of conditions and venues; tourist shots in Europe, our kids wedding (pre wedding surfing), grandkids at play, and photos of seniors participating in downhill slalom ski competition in Colorado (conditions varying from beautiful sunny to cloudy/windy/snow). I keep it at this point due to the excellent results it has provided over the years and still find occasion to bring it out for use (both DX and FX).
