Great imagination and execution!
It may depend on how much sharpening you need. I use LR to process m4/3 size raw files. Low light pix and highly cropped pix are the Achilles heel of this size sensor. DeNoise does a far better job than LR In this extreme situation. It seems to be the step beyond. If you are processing say FF files maybe it wouldn't be quite as useful. My bottom line : DeNoise is a necessary tool in my kit.
Thank you, this difference I never quite understood, now I do. Considering the large zoom factor of this lens, 1:8, I should need all the stabilizing I can get. My original thought was to use the Oly as a walk around lens rather than my Panny 14-145 hoping for wider zoom potential, presumably better sharpness ,and constant f4. Perhaps not worth the bucks.
Can anyone comment on using the Oly 12-100 pro with PAnasonic cameras. I have a G9 and the Lumix 14-140 also the Lumix 100-400. Part of my work requires stills, mostly static and no flash, in a large church hall generally requiring ISOs like 3200/6400 and shutter speeds of around 1/200, largest f stop dependant on zoom setting. Grain is always a concern so I am frequently leaning on Topaz to rescue shots. I also have a Lumix 100-300 I rarely use. I would appreciate your help.
MattK also has a very good video also a tutorial for sale on his website.
Thank you Boone. Just ordered one to dust my 35mm slides before copying. Should save a lot of Rocket squeezing.
No one has mentioned the Slideshow module in Lightroom. Is it low on the "prefered" list?
A happy happy shot. Well caught.
Update to my previous post 7/25. I now use an Olympus 25mm (50mm FF equiv.) macro lens. Works like a charm, got it for a song from MPB. Suspect there are not too many "short" macro users hence the price.
After the war we had Lancaster's flying RCAF coastal patrols on the east coast of Canada. Saw them at Summerside PEI in '52 while nav training.
Lots of sound on U-Tube. Excellent shots.
Check the color in southern Quebec. It will peak earlier than Vermont and give you some forewarning.
Are these sharp and clear! Well done. Must have been noisy being that close.
Yes what is your issue? I am happy my Rolex, a gift from my wife of many years, and she wore hers also happily until she passed away recently.
