being quite new to this forum, I am not familiar with your history of improving your shots. You mentioned your "technique" and changing some aspects of it. Could you possibly give a short bio of your journey of this. series? Thanks in advance.
Couldn't agree more. You see the same posts and questions day after day that have been answered about the same topics in many previous newsletters. Maybe you could post a procedure for those to members who don't utilize all that information saved in the UHH forums to answer their questions. We have so many members that have contributed LOTS of information to many of these "same questions".
I just finished watching a free landscape photography featuring John Green on Creativelive .com. John went over quite a few lens in the field, what he uses and the results with these various lens. One lens he covered in depth was the tilt lens and it was very interesting. This class is free right now and I would suggest checking it out. It wouldn't cost you anything unless seeing and understanding the benefits of the lens inspires you to bu one. Enjoy, John is very good. Good luck on your decision. :)
I feel sad for the dragonfly, but great respect for your pics. We will be awaiting the next "course". :(
I would try the crop the image to make the dragonfly fill more of the image. I don't think you need so much of the background.
Feels like he is just kind of "hanging" there in the center. Those wonderful colors and lines you captured would become so powerful and make he seem "I am the king". Just an idea.
Always enjoy when you post. I know that the Macro is a different area but check out the link with the wide angle lens with extension tube in the Macro section. Makes your brain start what is I used ...... with a ........!
Horizons should always be straight. It is much more appealing to the eye. Would straightened the bottom two and go from there. Let us know your final selection.
Just saw you live in Indiana, I am in Carmel.
I thought you had my dog Mercedes when I saw your picture. Your dog has the exact eyes, coloring, fur and cut etc. Exact copy. I have 2 goldendoodles, and would never think of a having a different breed! I will post a picture later of her and you will see what blew me away.
But I hear he isn't very fast!:)
I have bets on the female!!
Do they live together? :)
I have had these in my yard and never was sure what they were called. Thank you for the info. Hopefully I will have my camera with me when they come calling!
Must have been a very "buggy" day, getting all those on 1 walk. Great eye spotting them!
