What is it that people say about "the eye of the beholder"? And you're just another beholder!

To judge what is and what isn't, I think requires the live subject to be available for comparison.

Possibly you need to reduce the brightness or the backlighting of your display.

I just noticed Grahams post above Deld... He's summed it up objectively.

Cool Graham, thank you too.

You could do even better with Post Processing.

Thank you Deld for spending time with my photo
I'm pleased you feel it is worth the extra effort.

However, the colour/saturation
of your edit do not represent the actual colour of the bird,
and the light levels you created are too dark for my palette... or palate?

Well, I see the beach but the water eludes me.

If you do the "double download", to the left, you
will see a sliver of saphire between
the sand and the hills in the hazy background...
that saphire is the Tasman Sea.

And it just occured to me, Whose lifetime?, a housefly or a Galápagos Tortoise?

My money is on the housefly in most cases.

The lifetime of the product... ie the product dies, invoking the end of the agreement/guarantee.

I'd contribute, but the possibility
of of having the criminal "User Id"
stealing my images precludes that.

I want a Mamiya RZ67 ProII or a Hasselblad 503CW. They seem to have the best one in Japan. Does anyone know a good, reliable, honest dealer there?
Thank you for any help

Honesty and reliability are corner stones of Japanese culture...
That is reflected in the very low crime rate and the
empty/ing jails in Japan.

Ironically the jail demographic in Japan is ageing... it
seems the Japanese ederly are shoplifting to intentionally
get jailed to escape loneliness and to have 3 square meals
prepared for them daily.

Anyway, I've found used camera gear on ebay (from Japanese dealers) to be very accurately photographed
and described.

I don’t think of myself as a professional photographer because my hobby is just learning to make good photographs. With each capture we learn how to use our camera more, how to compose a little more and make the next photo better than the last.

As for going out with a pro, that is all well and good. There are plenty here on the HOG. Don’t wait for an opportune moment to pick someone’s brain, DO IT NOW! You have the chance.

My real profession is as a pharmacist so I do that extremely well. Those are beautiful rides. I love the bike but my wife won’t let me ride one. She has a hard time when I say, “just one more camera!”

It is easy to blame a pandemic but then you are losing sight of your own abilities.

Stop reading all these threads on UHH and gear up and get out there!

I use my bikes almost every day... I've turned into a fair weather pilot however,
and rain, particularly heavy rain has me using the car instead.

Nice shot of the bird UserID. If this is the raw file straight out of camera, then some processing has been done or it is a jpeg of the raw file, which many programs do, without changing the raw file itself.

Cheers

User Ids IQ starts with a decimal point, and he steals others images he says,
so it's best just to ignore his posts.
