Welcome to UHH. I have the a6000 and it is a great camera. I agree with the advice regarding computer needs - make sure you get external hard drives and keep 2 backups of your photos. I am in Fairfield (just north of Cincinnati). There are several camera clubs in the area - you can find them on meet up.
I saw this video before and it still takes my breath away. I started to follow him on Facebook. He is a very accomplished nature photographer and a real inspiration. Thanks for posting!
I went to a local preserve this morning to look for ducks but very few were on the ponds. So I took some photos of spent milkweed and thistle...just to take some pictures!
Hi Mark. Unfortunately there really was no better light. It was an overcast dreary day and hard to find a good spot. I really appreciate the feedback since I am always looking to improve.
Very nice capture. You are so lucky to see them! I met a very nice young lady from Narvik during a photo tour of Yellowstone and she also had some wonderful pics of the Aurora and her home town.
We spied this green heron in the marsh grass at the Viera Wetlands. We watched for a while and were rewarded with successful fishing. These green herons are one of my favorites of all the heron birds.
