Excellent capture Robert. The striking contrast grabs your attention.

Best bee I have ever seen from a camera!!!

Considering it was a Canon EF 28-135 f3.5/5.6 IS UMS kit lens I was very pleased with the shot. Thank you for taking the time to d/l and comment. As my stepdad use to say "even a blind cat will catch a mouse once in a while" Thanks again for the kind words.

Was looking back through the shots I took with the 7D. Caught this little fella in Ice House Canyon on Mt. Baldy a few years back. It is cropped considerably and tweaked a bit.. Taken with 28-135mm telephoto. Please feel free to download and comment.

challenge accepted :)

well 1.4 x 1.6 multiply 4 by 6 = 24 making 2.24

400 x 2 = 800 and .24 is a little less than a 1/4 which is 100
1% of 400 is 4 so that gives 96 so 800 + 96 = 896.

not so hard once you break it down 1.4 is pretty close to the square root of 2 and you probably know this being 1 stop different from 2.
because we know a 1.4 tc loses 1 stop of light a 2x TC 2 stops.

On a 1.5 crop factor camera you get it easy i'll let you work it out in your head having seen the first it'll probably take all of 5 seconds.
with that combined crop factor :)
challenge accepted :) br br well 1.4 x 1.6 multip... (show quote)

Now my head hurts. 😄😄😗

Hello,

I have some very old B&W pictures that I took during my time in Korea (1970) that I developed myself. They have darkened with age. Can these be lightened up any with Photoshop or Lightroom and if so, what are your recommendations for doing that? Thanks much, Bill

Hello Bill, you might take a look at Hamrick ViewScan - www.hamrick.com - It supports loads of scanners and has aging correction for a multitude of film types. I used it to digitize a couple thousand color slides, color and B&W negatives with great results. But what ever you decide to do you should make sure the negatives are clean. I use PEC-12.

Good luck.

Thanks. Was trying to figure out whether it was a Shatp Shinned or a Cooper's.
