Nice collection!
I've traveled to AK as a military retiree about six times via military aircraft. Looking forward to going back again.
I might find a few shots from my trips to post.

Hi, John. I have posted a number of photos on the Forgotten Alabama website.

I still have a couple of Camp Hill photos that need touching up before posting.

I live just south of you down Hwy 280. I also love to take photos of old buildings and those falling into disrepair that mostly sit on old farm places. There are plenty of them in the area for sure. It often becomes a Sunday afternoon outing for me to find such old structures and photograph them. Do you ever post any of your photos in the Forgotten Alabama group on FaceBook? Thanks for posting.

Hi, John! Yes I do post on the Forgotten Alabama website. I seek out interesting abandoned structures: houses, barns, etc. Lots of them out there. You might like the recent one in Camp Hill which got a lot of comments. (rdfarr@yahoo.com)

I do the same here in Colorado. Very nice! Have you tried converting to B&W?

Don't do many b/w shots, but should have used it for this one.

That is a fine shot, me being a B&W fan. My own preference would be to move a little to either side to get the 3 dimension of the building. Don Z.

I took shots from different sides, but this was the best. Trees got in the way.

This was in Tallapoosa county, AL.
The house has since been demolished.
Old abandoned houses are not rare in rural AL.

I didn't catch the color version, Rhett. I love the B&W and the composition with catching a corner of the dirt road is nice. It gives it a place.

Thanks for the nice comment. I seldom use B/W.
I uploaded the color version this a.m. before the B/W.

Shame it was left to deteriorate like that, I think it's gone past a face lift,

Yep, it's too far past.

It was suggested that I try black/white version of this photo recently posted.
Don't do much b/w, but here it is.

I almost never use B/W. Color has an immediate attraction. Takes a great photo and great processor to make a B/W one interesting. (Just my opinion.)
