I have used the 18-300 for about 5 years on a D7100, D500 and D750. I upgraded from the 18-200 the first year for had it. It's a wonderful ' do everything ' walk around lens with any body. Fast, light, sharp and convenient! Sell the kit lens package and never look back!😜

Ditto on the raves about this new lens. Use it on the D500, D750 and D4.... fastest and sharpest lens in my bag for sports and wildlife!! HIGHLY recommended!! Focuses on birds in flight better than U can imagine!! 😎

I was there in 2005 and took the same pix as your #2. It also had a stick wedged in the same place! Not the same stick however. Great pix teacher22!

Use a wide zoom and a good tripod. Very dusty even when it's not windy blowing dust in from the cracks above. The way that the sunbeams are lit up is by throwing a handful of sand in the air! Without the dust to light up the beams they are invisible. DO NOT CHANGE LENS!!! I was there in late June, from noon local to 3pm local. Took the special $$$ photographer tour.... less people traffic for photos. Recommended! When they drove me out they picked up a big crowd and just dropped off a few photographers. Don't know if they still do that.

I was there in late June, 10 years ago, took the 2:30 tour. Sunny day, beautiful light beams etc. By 5pm colors were muted because of the angle of the sun putting the canyon in shadows! A great photographers experience. Everything inside needs long exposures on a tripod. Was using a D2X... would love to go back with my D4!

To see beam throw sand into air! ;-)

Just upgrade your OS X operating system to the latest and Aperture will recognize your D750 files. ;-)

Go to Digby and have a plate full of wonderful Digby Scallops! You won't regret it!! Also be there at low tide and high tide. At high tide the boats in the harbour are riding nicely at the side of the pier... at low tide you'll be afraid to go onto the pier... the boats will be 40+ feet below the pier!! The biggest tide swing you'll ever see. When the tide is going out in narrow places it's flowing like someone just flushed the toilet. A sight you will not easily forget. ;-) And yes Peggy's Cove is beautiful to see.

I would keep the 18-300 with the D7100... it covers it all and is MUCH lighter than any of the FX's with the D7100. I carry that along with my D4 and FX lenses. Compared to the big guy the D7100-18/300 is like a pocket camera.... fast and light! An awesome combo with the D750 for sure!

I'm waiting for 'Photo' before I try to move 85,000 pix. I can only hope that there will be a 'level' of 'Photo' that will be Aperture+!

D7100 is highly recommended. I used the 18-200 for a couple of years and replaced it with the 18-300 for the added reach. I'll sell the 18-200. Either lens is a 'do everything' with the D7100.
