If you go to the Benq site they have referbished at a better price I went with 2, 27in 2k not 4k and love them. 2k QHD is closer to the resolution of your raw files.

I am careful with my gear to the point that I don't abuse it but, it is just a tool and tools are happier when they are being used ! That said I do things to protect it like in the canoe I have a waterproof ammo box that I can access the camera where I could just pop the latch and shoot should I be under attack by Loons or Eagles and Otters.
I had a coopers hawk hanging around that took care of the squirrels and house sparrows 😁! I would highly recommend them
I have the PD2700Q on my PC no problems at all it's a 2K which I prefer for Photo editing, 2k 4k probably doesn't make a lot of difference
Nope sold the Canon 7dmk2 to complete my move too Sony , after 2 yrs I did add a Sony a6600 , I missed the crop sensor for birds and nature on my daily hikes with the dog . The only thing I have held onto is the Tamron 18-400 and the mc 11 adaptor (seems to work really well on it)
There's always Cloud backup
I would first use distilled water, try a damp (not dripping) Q-tip or 2 and spin / roll it on top of the spot without letting that dirty part of the swab come in contact with the lens , don't smear the sticky stuff around if you can help it .
Watermarks are just ugly and don't deter theft , just upload a low res copy
1 more suggestion from a 18-400 fan, calibrate that lens to that camera body it will make a difference.
You could go with an adapter and a Sony a7R4 shooting in crop mode , I know not perfect but a viable option . Yes it's better to use native lenses instead of adapted
try canon direct My refurbished one is still going strong after 6 years
