I just acquired a Canon R3. I also shoot with a Canon 1DX II.
When importing into Photo Mechanic the “Capture” sort is not blending the images together. Instead I get the CR2 images in one block and the CR3 images in another block.
Any ideas on how the get the images sorted by Capture time?

-------
Can you use sort bt filename? What you said you are experiencing sound like it is sorting by file type.

So I am looking at an item on Amazon. It states the seller is Adorama. I have never purchased anything from Adorama. Free shipping and free returns via Amazon is a benefit. Would anyone share their experience please. I did a search on Adorama but the posts were old. Thanks.

--------
I have purchased things from Adorama on multiple occasions, and also from B&H and KEH. I haven't had any problems with any of my purchases from any of them.

I am interested in experiences with Anti Noise Software. I have been using ON1 No Noise and the software that now is included in Lightroom Classic. They both work fine, although I have a preference, for most pictures, for ON1No Noise. Have you tried these? How do these compare with others out there?
The updates have been coming rapidly, and I presume will continue.

------------
I have used ON1 NoNoise, Affinity Photo's noise removal, Topaz De-Noise AI, DxO PureRAW, Lightroom Classic's noise removal, and the noise removal in Photoshop. All of them work, it is more a matter of personal preference as far as which is better or best. I normally use ON1 NoNoise and occasionally DxO PureRAW or Topaz DeNoise AI.

I have been using Adobe Lightroom. It is effective but it has a steep learning curve. Are you using one that still allows control over the various aspects of the picture but is easier to use?

Any program that allows for the use of layers and/or masking will let you to have selective control when applying adjustments. This includes programs like "Affinity Photo", "ON1 Photo RAW", "Photoshop Elements", "Corel Paint Shop Pro" and if you want free software, you have "Gimp". There are a number if others as well as the ones I mentioned.

I use Wasabi batteries in my Canon and Nikon cameras. They have worked well for me and they perform pretty much like the Canon and Nikon batteries. About a week ago I had one if my Wasabi batteries, that I use in my Canon SX50, died and won't take a charge any longer. I bought it, along with two others, in January or February 2014 so it has lasted just a little short of 10 years. My other Wasabi batteries are still working and charging fine. So at a cost of about 1/4 the price of the Canon batteries, they have been well worthwhile.

I've been told that I should watermark my photos to protect from copiers. I'm considering selling some of my works at some photo shows, but have already shared many of my works without protections. I've heard that there are some watermarks that only show up when being printed. This is what I'd prefer. Any thoughts?

If you post it, it can be stolen. If you watermark it, it can be removed. Anything you post will have a possibility of being stolen.

I use LRC only. I have a solid backup system on external hard drives in two locations. I use Goodsync to assure that my working drive and b/u drives are identical. I also use SmugMug to display and share galleries, host my web site, and store JPEG versions (unlimited storage) of my images that are meaningful to me.

Now, SmugMug offers a separate subscription service called “Source”, a platform that cloud stores your Raw images.

My question is, if you have edited your Raw images and extracted from them the info they contain that jpeg’s would not, what benefit would there be to also store the Raw’s in the cloud at additional expense in both $ and time (slow uploads)?

I would never discard the original RAW files that contain all of the image data the camera captured. The finished edited pictures do not contain all of the data contained in the RAW files. Keeping them allows you to have the capability of doing a re-edit in the future if you want to.

Picasa didn't transfer to my new SSD! Any suggestions?

I'd suggest finding something new to use. Eventually there won't be any functioning links where you will be able to download it any longer.

I have the FM and a few hand held meters. How do I set the exposure if my meter said it's 1/125 and f/5.6 and 7/10?

-----
It means the exposure is 7/10 of a stop above f:/5.6 in other words the f-stop should be about f:/7.1. If the camera uses 1/3 stops then go two clicks a above f:/5.6. If your camera uses 1/2 stop increments use the half stop above the f:/5.6 or f:/8 which will put the exposure within 1/3 of a stop of correct exposure.

I am looking for a decent photo editing program. Does anyone have any thoughts on Inpixio, like ease of use, powerful enough to do moderate photo editing roles, cost, etc. I appreciate any input, thank you.

I would suggest Affinity Photo, ON1 Photo RAW, Corel Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop Elements. With the Photoshop Elements I would also recommend "Elements+" which is an add-on that gives you access to many features that you usually have to get Photoshop to hsve the. The "Elements+" add-on is $12.00 plus tax and is well worth it.
