Yup. Been to The Met (a number of times, but that was decades ago) and have seen this (or maybe it was one of their other Faber-eggy eggs?). But what I most distinctly recall is, having seen it, I was possessed by an overwhelming hankering for hash browns & bacon.

Which is no reflection whatsoever on your portrayal of the Egg, unkabuck. Because it's a right nice image.

Fast-forward to today.... ....require hash browns & bacon! Right now! With some fresh squeezed OJ on the side! Overwhelmingly!

p.s.: you do good images.
Yup. Been to The Met (a number of times, but that... (show quote)

Thank You, Lol, I just had lunch, otherwise I’d be right there with you !!! Glad you enjoyed it

Faberge eggs are generally from 3 to 6 inches tall, excluding the base. This is the Imperial Napoleonic Egg of 1912, from a 2016 visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. There are 3 of the 50 Imperial Easter Eggs that were made on display at the Met. Thought I'd share this composite of one of them.

Excellent pairing. There are a few tiny details that you might fix: the bit of green below panda's nose and the adjacent browns. Also, while I like the softness of the overlay for background, I think there'd be more impact if the panda is sharply defined since it's so close to us.

Excellent suggestions, Thank You !!!

The Red Panda is from a 2018 visit to the Memphis Zoo, and the bamboo grove is AI generated in firefly. Several textures and overlays in Photoshop. Thought I'd share.

Nicely done. Two things, as Jack mentioned about the car, I would take it out. For me it doesn’t fit the 1920’s 30’s theme. And the second the license plate. I see the image is for sale. I am not sure about the license plate showing ownership and therefore not in the public domain. This may cause some kind of legal issue. But than again I am not an attorney.

The truck is on exhibit at the Farm and Auto Museum. All of their vehicles are for sale, and all photos were taken with permission.

Oh I really like this! I saw on another post where the writer noted it would look better if it were closer cropped on the left side. I agree! I like the oldness of the shot! Very good work!

Thank You very kindly, delighted you enjoyed it !!!

How do you insulate your camera when taking it thu a time warp? You did not mention you had collaborated with a great-grandchild of HG Wells. Surprisingly the machine works after all these years. Too bad the 1931 Ford can not be transported.

Thank You Don, I wasn't sure which year the truck was, and yes, I'd love to have it in the garage !!

Interesting, Unca B. I'm curious about your color choices. I see a nice hint of the Dr. Pepper maroon color in the sign, some metallic blueish in the right headlight, and just a hint of yellow in the clouds. I assume those bricks still have some color, as does the sky. How did you decide which colors to include and which to leave out?

Thank You and thank you for asking. I wanted to have some of the Dr Pepper color so as one of the final steps, I put the color layer above the layer stack added a mask and brushed some of the color back in, if I recall correctly at 25 % opacity. I used a brush to add light to the headlights, blurred that and adjusted the opacity. The right headlight in the original picture had yellowed somewhat so I set the opacity on that one a little higher. Usually the last thing I do in a composite to help unify the parts is to use a gradient map. In this case a very light blue to a very light yellow shadows to highlights. Thanks Again !!!

Nicely done. You might want to crop away the modern car in the lower left

Thank You Jack, I appreciate it !! Initially I was going to call this, They don't make 'em like they used to, then I changed and used the DR Pepper wall instead. I removed a microwave tower visible over the building but left the car and changed the title. Thanks Again !!
