I think you have gotten into the fentanyl stash. The 4 or 5 videos that capture the entire scene from start to death do not support that claim.

Let me make this clear... I have not ever used fentanyl or any other illegal drug and expect an apology if you are any form of a man.

Floyd was executed plain and simple as we all stood by and continue to allow those that wear a badge the freedom to be judge, jury executioner! There is no difference in shooting fleeing person in the back and then saying that the officer feared for their life as justification. Video is all the evidence any normal person needs to see. There was zero threat to Chauvin or the other police officers in this video. Murder plain and simple.

What do you mean "zero threat to Chauvin". This occurred in one of the most lawless parts of Minneapolis. Floyd was a drug addict. Floyd was with two drug dealers. Two people were shot since this the Floyd incident and I think one of them to death. Covid19 was ramped at this time. As it turned out, Floyd was actually Covid19 positive. These are the people the cops deal with all the time in that area. For safety reasons alone, I feel a knee on the back of Floyd instead of putting his hands on a potentially infectious person to be quite appropriate. I'll never understand why so many people think Floyd was a person to look up to. It's no wonder we have so much civil disorder in this country when our heroes are thugs. This includes the thugs from the streets, from sports, politics, and smooth talking ministers. Enough said.

The cause of death was the knee. Doesn’t matter what he did in the past . Doesn’t matter what he health issue were.
The bottom line is that if it weren’t for the knee he would have walked away that day .

Don’t confuse the issue.

That’s like the ignorant fools that claim a person who had heart disease that maybe have killed them in 10 years didn’t die in 10 days because of the virus

Time to put politics aside .

Well Denny, I see now that you are a experience doctor to have determined without the benefit of an autopsy the real cause of death. Personally, using my unofficial doctors degree in history, I think the amount of yet to be disclosed level of fentanyl coupled with other drugs was the cause of death. The knee in the back was possibly excessive force, but that too has yet to be determined. Remember Floyd was sitting in a car with two drug dealers when arrested. Floyd was really high when he passed the twenty dollar bill, irrational and paranoidal when originally arrested, combative when being placed the police car, able to fight off three officers while he was hand cuffed, and not complying with officer orders. Those officers just went through a traumatic fight themselves. I wouldn't want their jobs.

The videos are undeniable. I'm not a juror, I make my own decisions and for me, the videos confirm excessive force resulting in a needless death.

The videos are clear. They do seem to show restraining force for an excessive period of time. However the cause of death is still to be argued.

I hope you are not correct. Floyd was functional and their handling of the situation was abysmal. At the very worst, it could be a hung jury but I think the use of fatal force was totally unnecessary.... it was a $20 bill.

It was minor until the first two officers approached Mr. Floyd in his car and Mr. Floyd failed to cooperate. It was serious enough for one of the officers to pull his service gun and order Mr. Floyd to show his hands. That's when things began to escalate. We'll see what happens as the clock ticks away and other witnesses testify. That's why people should allow our system of justice to determine guilt. And that includes news organizations, community activist, payed so called ministers, and politicians including President Biden. The trial will determine justice for both Mr. Floyd and the officers.

If you have been sworn in as a member of the jury, you are obligated to withhold judgement until the conclusion of the trial and limit your verdict to the evidence admitted during the trial.

If you are not on the jury, you are free to base your decision on whatever information you find credible, at what ever time you are persuaded as to the defendant's culpability.

I don't need to be instructed about my rights to come to a hasty decision regarding a legal issue. As a one time attorney you should have enough experience to know the verdict will not be determined until ALL of the evidence is heard. I'm saddened by so many people calling for justice for Mr. Floyd and not any concern for justice for the four officers. The trial will end in one of three ways. A guilty verdict, a not guilty verdict, or a hung jury. The real question will be, will the public accept the verdict. I have my doubts.

This sounds like you support vigilante executions without a trial.

I can not believe the amount of people who have also determined the guilt of the offices involved. Even changing the word murder to killed is blatant proof of it. I've watched all of the testimony so far given (which has come from the prosecutor's side) and guilt certainly has not been established yet. Even the EMT stated she would not do mouth to mouth resuscitation. This event occurred during the height of the covid19 epidemic. I thought the above posters were demanding justice. Your comments sound like your preparing to hand the rope. I personally know the area where this happened and it's full of drug dealers, pimps, and prostitutes. The cops in that area deal with those people all the time (as well as with respectable people). It's too early to call a verdict.

Nice job with the pictures, but I couldn't last long in such a crowded place. I would find getting enough air to breath a serious concern. I'm sure those of you who live in large cities wouldn't have the same problem.

In Minnesota eagles are at the point of overpopulation. I have them every day flying over our egg farm looking for dinner. Our chickens are so used to them they post sentries to alarm their peers. At one point Minnesota was second only to Alaska for number of eagles. In fact, the National Eagle Center is located in Wabasha, MN.

Last year we volunteered to take a small dog for a week or two when a lady had to go into assisted living. A couple of days later the Covid 19 hit and not even dog shelters were taking in pets. We didn't want a permanent dog but after a few months he became one of us. He does restrict our travel and still is learning hand and word commands. His biggest problems is not understanding why the cats can pee in the litter box and he isn't allowed to pee on the side of it. Laugh if you want, but he can say: out, mom ma, and I love you. Some day I might figure out what kind of breed he is. Like it matters. Leon

I got the 24-120 variable vr version with my D700. I thought it was great at that time. The D700 is a 24mp. The combination produced very nice shots. I tried the F4 version and found it did a better job focusing on the edges and focused much quicker. Its negative was it was bigger and heavier. If you can afford the F4 I'd get it and put up with extra weight.

Thanks Dennis... Quite an article. Reminds me of what my Grandmother said about when Poland was taken over starting wwii. Her son, an American soldier, was killed crossing into Germany in the last days of the war. She feared he might have been killed by one of his own cousins who Hitler conscripted into the army. After people found out who Hitler was, they couldn't stop the madness. We can't stop watching our political leaders for their divisiveness.

Really great pictures. I am especially impressed with the fact you used inexpensive equipment to take the images. So often people think if they don't have the latest and most expensive equipment, they can't do worthwhile work. I continue to use lenses like the 35-70 2.8, 80-200 2.8, 70-300 vr, D700 and others I have collected over the years. Nice to know others still use affordable equipment and produce great images. Leon
