No photos included. Was that your intention?
Julian
I got an answer from them for my problem.
Will see if it works
Thanks

I went to mailbox today and received a card from "Outdoor Photographer." The card stated that they were converting to a digital format. The reason cited was the risk due to COVID-19. This is interesting, since all the evidence points to COVID risks from mail as being minimal. Furthermore, if the magazine were delivered in an envelope or plastic bag, the risks would be reduced to practically zero. I have a sense that there were other factors, namely costs, that were involved here. Interestingly, I was receiving "Outdoor Photographer" to fill out my subscription to "Shutterbug," another venerable paper photo publication that had folded. This is disappointing to say the least. Although I have no objection to sharing and viewing photographs digitally, I enjoy them in the traditional paper format as well. To my knowledge, this leaves only "Click" and "Lens Work" as the only existing paper format American photo magazines, assuming that they are not planning to switch to digital formats as well.

The setup and layout of print vs. digital is quite different. Talented (very talented) graphics artists can do all the work remotely, send their copy to the editors, on to the layout people and another few steps, then digital publish. Bam.
Print requires more staff, supplies, before the final product can be sent to the printer, which is probably outsourced and adds to the cost.
Though I most often read on a tablet, I miss the stacks of magazines that I would keep for years. Print just reads quickly, flipping back and forth is easier. Eye strain is less. But in (on?) my IPad, I have dozens of books, including behemoth science texts I used when teaching.
But I also have a large collection of print texts dating back to the 1870βs. There is no such thing as a digital, signed, first edition.
First of all I have contacted Capture one with this question. Hoping to hear from them.
I downloaded the 30 day trial yesterday and imported some 10k of my photos from my hard drive. Obviously too quite awhile. However several of the files show corruption when I view them. Does not matter whether they are Nef, tif jpeg arw etc. I get the same results.
This is on a IMac running the latest version of Catalina. No other editing programs show this.
Anyone have an idea what this represents?
Thanks

Several years ago I bought a Lenovo Desktop touchscreen.
I still have the pc but find it too cumbersome to use.
Polio has been eradicated through the use of vaccines and constant vigil of any appearances around the globe.
I am not saying polio doesn't exist, we just have not seen any evidence of it in years.

That applies to ANY subject, not just this one.

Oh, I could go on.

I suspect you are talking about Time Machine. It's an Apple Program that is part of the operating system. All I will say is that I have used it for years and it works great.
Time Machine, yes that is what I was thinking.
Thanks
I was. I had the HD on my IMac crash yesterday. My previous IMac HD also crashed.
I still have the new IMac under extended warranty but with everything being locked and canβt take it in but would have to ship it. Being home bound nowdue to Covid, I would go insane without it.
All my files were backed up to cloud drives, ICloud, Creative Cloud and One Drive.
I never did a restore backup so I had to other options. I had a 500 gb ssd drive and was able to reinstall the OS on it from Apple online.
Now I am going through the process of reinstalling purchased software. I kept all my logins and passwords in an Excel file, which I print out regularly and email it to me so I can access it on my IPad.
I am so fortunate I had everything copied and saved. But the Apple Restore/backup, or whatever it is called would have been most likely better.
Of course my new HD will be organized.
FYI
I have a Mac, upgraded to Catalina and lost the ability to continue to use an older version of Photoshop Elements. 32 bit version. I am not about to purchase the newer version. I am still using it on my MacBook since I have not upgraded that to Catalina.
I had other problems with Catalina on the IMac and had to reinstall the whole thing.
Me too. Current user and I got it a couple of weeks ago.
I have the Fotodox Pro version. Works well for me on my a6000. I use aperture priority, set iso to auto. And though some lenses can auto focus, I choose manual focus to save the battery.
