Are you in AFS or AFC? AFC will give you continuous focus as you track the bird in flight.

I field trialed Vizslas and was the official photographer for the Orange County Vizsla Club back in the late 70's- early 80's. What an expensive endeavor!

I love your HDR's! They come out so clean on the edges. I've used NIK in the past and my pictures don't come this nice. What software are using? Keep up the good work!!

David I've been involved in photography since the 60's and I have shot portraits with the 24-70 but if I had my choice I'd use a longer lens as well. You did a great job with this portrait and you had the perfect model! Send her my way I'd love to work with her!!

I started at Ariz. St. Univ. but was a photographer in the USAF from 1968-72. I spent 1970 in Thailand with the 14th TRS of the 432 TRW (recon). In 1971 I was at TSN airbase Saigon in the 12th RITS. I took with me a Nikon TN and a Mamiya C33 twin lens. Before I went home I picked up a Nikon FTN, Mamiya C330 and a Mamiya RB67. I don't have any of these anymore as I moved on to the digital age.

Great pics but I don't think you could do anything but great pics from what I've seen.

I enjoy your pictures not because they show flesh but because you are an excellent photographer. The grand kids pictures are just snap shots taken by so called photographers will out your skill!

Thanks for the post. I was an Air Force Still Photographer from 1968 to 1972. Even though I had an altitude card to fly most of my work was done on the ground. I did spend a year in Thailand and Vietnam in aerial recon. I would have loved to have had this guys job but there was a war on and I was needed elsewhere.

Thanks for the nice shots and a nice trip down memory lane. I was a photo interpreter with the 14th TRS in 72-73 about the same time you were with the 555th.

Didn't you just hate having to duck going from one trailer to another? I felt like I was in a Submarine!

Thanks brother for the post! I was in the 14th TRS of the 432 TRW stationed at Udorn, Thailand in 1970. From their I went to Vietnam and the 12RITS. Thailand was the better of the two assignments but they both were an experience I wont forget.

I came back from the Med. just 2 weeks ago. On all my travels I have found that the 28-300mm covers almost everything. I carry a 16-35mm for those interiors and landscapes that I feel the other lens can't handle. Both used on a D800. I'll be back in France, again, this time next month...see you there!
