Erich, I'm a great fan of B & W landscapes and your pictures are a great example. I won't pick a favourite as they are all excellent. You are an ambassador for B & W.

When I first saw this image , I immediately thought this is a classic shot. One that has been done many times. But it all came together, color composition and time of day. Nicely done.

Thank you, as you say sometimes things just come together naturally... You can't force them

I like that a lot. When this C19 crisis is over I'll have to take Mrs. N. up to see her sister so that'll take care of a day for me.

The clarity is superb, just enough to indicate movement on the tide and the details under the water in the foreground all make it for me.

Thank, John, it was a beautiful crisp morning. The area is well worth a visit, with many villages all quite close together and easily accessible off the A149 coast road between Hunstanton and Cromer.

The undeveloped areas near my home are flat like this photo is. The boats add a lot of interest in the otherwise almost featureless scene. I'll keep this photo in mind when trying to compose engaging photos of the areas around my home. Very nice.

Thanks, Erich, who needs mountains?

Gorgeous light, color, details, composition! If you photoshopped in the buoy, you did a cracker, brilliant, blinding job

Thanks, Linda,

The light is courtesy of a cold December morning.

Love your title and humorous comment, Graham, but especially I like the idea of nature healing itself in spite of our best efforts to soil it. Great light and details in this photo!

Thanks, Linda, Nature will repair itself by undoing our travesties against it but even Nature has its limits. We have to be careful that we don't push it beyond those limits... the point of no return.

Always seek perfection but remember that if you aim too high you need to be prepared to live with disappointment.

Using either Photoshop or Nik Silver Efex, you could try various filters modify the image.

Hello DWU2, the image was converted using Nik Silver Efex, it's filtering and then finished in Photoshop. The idea behind the B&W version was that I was asked about a B&W version of the green colour one. Personally I didn't think that it would work as well in B&W. I made this version to show that conversion to show B&W wasn't the best way to go with this one. It loses it's the story in B&W, which is mouldering green decay
