It seems that the Huawei Pro 20 will not be available to purchase with any of the major U.S. Wireless Carriers anytime soon. Apparently, there is some concern in the U.S. about Huawei's close ties with the Chinese Government. Their phones are very popular in Europe.

I have 2 Huawei phones in my household. Excellent phones. I know Huawei is made in China, so is Iphone. Suspect the blocking in the US market has more to do with protecting current market dominators from loosing market share.

Picture taking has been an interest of mine for over fifty years. When affordable digital cameras were introduced in the early 2000's my amature
photography status really picked up. And it has become far more affordable to process and print your digital pictures, too. Then my wife introduced
me to taking pictures with my Samsung Galaxy 4 phone. A phone? I thought that was crazy. How can a phone compete with my DSLR cameras.
Well, I tried and liked the results. Had fun with it too. We recently upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy 9+ and the pictures are amazing. The phone is
now a computer and excellent camera. What is next to come? Beam me up, Scotty!

First, start with the 200-500 for telephoto shots, that's the best one in your lineup.

All things being equal, your D600 with give you better results than the DX camera - as long as you fill the frame.

However, if you need to crop, the tables turn and the DX camera will give you better results than the cropped full frame camera. See this test:

https://backcountrygallery.com/cropping-full-frame-vs-shooting-a-crop-camera/

So, start with FX, and when the subject is too far and a heavier crop is required, switch to DX.

This is you best advice. As long as you can fill the frame with the 200-500 lens and D600 camera it will be your best bet. If the 200-500 is not long enough to fill the frame of the D600 with your subjects the crop camera will be a better choice.

Is there a decent quality point & shoot that has extra wide lens capability ? 18mm ? I've seen 24mm but can't seen to fine 18mm. I'm not interested in a super long zoom , just wide angle end.
Thank you

Very good question. I have been looking into this as I also often have the need for wider than those 24-25 mm that is usually at the wide end of fixed lens cameras.
Until now I have not found a single point and shoot fixed lens camera with a wider lens than that.

So your best option is to buy interchangeable lens camera and a wide lens with it. And try to make it as compact as possible. That would direct you to something like the Nikon 1 system and the 6.7-13 mm lens. That would compare to a 18-35 lens in full frame terms.

Other manufacturers have someting similar to offer in terms of focal lengts but I think this is the most compact combo of them all. You could get a Nikon 1 V1 camera used for about $100 or a Nikon 1 J5 or Nikon 1 V3 new for a lot of money.

Sigma DP Quattro 0 comes closest to have a fixed wide lens with lens that is 14 mm and about 21 mm in full frame terms.

1. My budget is based on keeping the camera 10+ years and it meeting my needs
2. Outdoor scenery shots, dogs, grand kids, artsy fartsy
3. Have DSLR now so I know what I am getting into. A mid-sized body is fine.
4. Doubtful if I will be in extreme weather conditions but I do a lot of winter shots so snow could be an issue
5. Some travel but not a ton
6. Not a lot of low light, hope to get an external flash in near future. Hate the built in flash
7. 8X11 would be max print size. Of course pictures will be seen other places but I don't need $1000+ camera to post to FB

Well, this just confirms my previous opinion. The D7200 and 18-140 lens will fit your needs very well. If there will be more low light shooting in the future you can always get a different lens for that for less than $200 or get external flash for less than $100. Like some others have mentioned you will need memory card and a tripod could come in handy at times, also a camera bag etc. You can also do well without any of this except the memory card

I have been reading reviews online, and talking with a Nikon saleman at Best Buy about a lens for a prime lens. This is one that he recommended. I have seen the prices for certified refurbished at around $90, to $154.99 and in between. Is this good as a prime lens or are there others than just the Nikon lenses? Thanks to all in advance for any advice.

If you can get one refurbed for $90 you should go for it. Very little money for a good prime lens. The salesman is actually giving you a good advice.

Maybe I was not clear enough. I have enough money to buy one decent Camera and Lense. So this camera lense combo has to do it all. Of course this is impossible but I'm not a Pro just want a camera to record the beauty of my life. What I need is advice on what the top 10 features to look for are. Things like:

Mega Pixels
FPS
Auto Focus options
# number of auto focus points
Metal/plastic body
ISO range
Wifi capability
LCD Flipping or rotating
Image stabilization
Others?

Ok, I think you already have a camera in mind that will be a good choice. Grab the D7200 and the 18-140 lens and you are well set to record the beauty of your life. There are other cameras that can also do it pretty well but this one is a good choice so no need to look any further.

That is easy to answer. It is not possible. On the D600 you can look at the histogram in the picture view mode only to check after you take the picture how the histogram looks.

Ok 11 great but which ones are shsrpest? I don't want a circular, this isn't art photography it's real estate.
I have an 11-16 tokina but they want wider. Not complaining about the responses, just clarifying.

Ok, you want a lens for real estate. Why a fisheye? Fisheye lenses distort the images a lot. The Samyang/Rokinon/Bower/Vivitar/somethingelse is probably the sharpest one with the least distortion but your pics will still be very distorted.

If you want a rectiliniar ultra wide lens that is sharp and good for real estate the Sigma 8-16 is the best choice.
It is available for $500 used at BH. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/689635-REG/Sigma_203101_8_16mm_F4_5_5_6_DC_HSM.html

Have a request to produce some pictures with a fisheye. Anyone shooting a fisheye and if so which are the sharpest? Budget around 500.

Cheapest way is to use photoshop or other photo editing programs to transfer your photos into fisheye like photos.

My primary computer is an Asus laptop that is nearing 7 years old and even though it has the i7 chip, it is not performing well on photo processing using the free Pixel and Sony's provided Capture One program.

I am looking at purchasing a new computer and know I want a solid state drive. Nothing else is set at the moment as to lap top or desk top or brand/model.

I am 76 and on a fixed income and must remain within a top expenditure of $1300.00 at the most.

I have looked at the entry level iMac desktops and the Asus Zen AiO lap tops and desk tops. I am open to other brands as recommended.

Once the computer is set, the processing program will follow to match the UHH suggestions/recommendations.

Thank all of you that will respond and I know I will receive the info I need to make the correct purchases.

Maybe you could imporove your current laptop. Adding memory, cleaning the ventilation, shut down unnecessary programs and processes that are clogging your processor after all those years. Transferring pics and videos and other user files to external hard drive. Even completely emtying your hard disk and reinstalling the OS and all the software you use would be an option. Note, this would only be helpful if you are using 64 bit laptop.

This is just an idea in case you may be interested. If you are not used to do stuff like this you would have to learn online how to do it or take it someone who know what to do.

Here is a youtube video from last year about building a good photo and 4k editing desktop pc for $638. You would have to add a monitor, mouse and keyboard to that price but should be able to complete the project will within $1000 even if you have to buy it all brand new. If you have an old keyboard and mouse somewhere around your house you can probably use that.

I have $1000 to 1200 to spend on a camera and lense which is not a bunch. Open to all options new, used, refurbished. I would rate myself as an amateur who just knows enough to be dangerous. Just to give you an idea of what I have found on my own is a Nikon D7200 with a 28-140 lense.

I would like to have some input on a top 10 list in order of importance of what people look for in a camera and lense on a budget

The D7200 and the 18-140 lens would be a good combo. However before making a top 10 list that is of any use for you you would need to answer some questions.

1. Budget, you have that stated as $1000-1200
2. What are you going to shoot with your camera?
3. Is weight and size of the camera gear an issue for you?
4. Are you going to shoot a lot outside in different weather conditions - to know if weather sealing is important.
5. Are you going to travel a lot with your gear?
6. Are you going to shoot a lot in low light, and then what?
7. Are you going to make large prints from your pics or planing to view them mostly on your TV and PC, show them on social media etc.

This is my top 7 list for you to answer before people can make a top 10 list of cameras fitting your needs
