That turtle looks like a snappin turtle.
I'm not sure but it looks like it could definitely do some snappin'!:-D
Sunday was chilly and breezy in northern Ohio but it was just nice enough to get out and enjoy some wildlife at a few different areas. The first several shots were at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. The "eagles" were at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, and the lake and lighthouse shots were taken at Marblehead Lighthouse State Park in Marblehead, Ohio.
It's much nicer out today than yesterday and I have the day off so I'm headed out again to enjoy the spring air and see what the wildlife is up to today. :D
Great Egret doin' some fishin'.
Caught one!
Uhh...Mr. Turtle, that mud mask is not going to make you more beautiful!
Fuzzy in more ways than one but just had to crop it close.

It was "unreal" how close these "eagles" let me get to their nest...haha.
Chilly Lake Erie!

Went for a walk in Sterling State Park in Michigan. A sunny day but a little on the chilly side. Was looking for Wood ducks. Did not see any. Not even a bird of prey. But it was nice to get out and enjoy nature. Even if she has not been very nice so far this year.
Nice shots, camshy! I really like the mute swan with its reflection...perfect!

Very nice tracer58, #1 is a Great Blue Heron, well done
Thanks for the ID gregoryd!:D
Went for a walk Sunday evening and snapped some photos. I think the first one is a blue heron? I don't have an editing program yet but I'm sure it could be improved upon. Feel free to download and show me what can be done with the water, the light pole reflection, racoon's red eye, etc. etc. Gotta run!!!
Blue Heron?

Went to Maumee State Park looking for Eagles. Did not see any, but did see a Northern Flicker, Golden Crown Kinglet, a downy wood pecker, and several deer.
Nice shots camshy! Love the flicker! I went out to the park, too. I think I took a picture of the same deer.:-) They were everywhere but the light was fading on me.
