Thank you for sharing your narrative and photos. Lovely synagogue. After five trips to Italy we still yearn for more.
That is a new one for me. Thank you for sharing.
The OM-1 paired with the Olympus 12-100 f4 is a great travel kit. My wife used a G9 last year with this lens in Iceland, The Faroe Islands and a small ship cruise from Malta to Venice. She loved it but now also has the OM-1 & the Panasonic Leica 100-400 so she can cover the range of 24-800mm equiv in a 66 oz kit and that includes the OM-1. At current new prices that only costs $4500 plus tax. I used my PL 50-200mm f2.8-4 with a TC1.4 to reach 560mm @ f5.6 and it worked well on the G9 but not for BIF and I found 560mm just a tad short at times. The nice thing about the PL 50-200 and TC is it only weighs 28 oz and was very useful for water falls and general landscape photography in that setting. I now also have the OM-1 to rectify the BIF issue. If you are curious how her 12-100 did have a look at her YouTube channel @lesdubb and choose the Iceland tour videos. I would also take a small fast prime also for night shots. Happy Trails and good luck.

The best setting is to not use C-AF+Tracking but to just use C-AF+Subject detection.
Thanks for the tip, just got an OM-1 for my new Oly 300 primarily for birding. Keeping my G9 for general photography as it takes great travel photos.
I only looked at this because Ann Rand’s name was invoked. Seems like reverse logic to me. Use your camera as you please.
Great photos, beautiful detail. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful captures. I have been there twice as well. Magical place. I think I’ll get my photos out and revisit it. Thanks for sharing.
Great photos! Thank you for sharing.
I’m closing in on 79 very soon and still have my D750 and four lenses but I seldom use them as my Panasonic G9 and PL lenses are so much lighter and less bulky and yield results only slightly less in quality than the D750. My wife at 75 has the OM-1 and an Oly 12-100mm f4 lens and she likes them very much. We use our cameras for travel photography & video. We also have the Sony RX100 VI & VII, they are very good and of course very light but are not as good as the G9 or OM-1 kits. The stabilization is amazing with all of these cameras, far better than the FX lenses provide. My D750 w/Sigma 24-105 f4 weighs around 61 oz but the G9 & PL 12-60 f2.8-4 weighs 34.5 oz. With our Peak Design camera and wrist straps the experience is liberating. The plus with the M43 cameras is you get the excellent electronic viewfinders that provides a “what you see is what you get” process that eliminates many poor shots, at least for me. Stick with the Olympus Pro & PL lenses and you will be very pleased. The Lumix 12-35 & 35-100 are also very good. The Sony RX 10 IV also possibly a good choice though I do not own one. Good luck!
Wow, that is spectacular! Thanks for sharing!
I was interested as well as I have been following your Fred Miranda posting for these same items which were reportedly purchased by someone around April 6-11. You both thanked each other for the good transaction. Your gracious comments about how well the sale went was on 4/20/23. Did the other person change his mind after receiving the lens and camera or do you have duplicate items for sale? Thank you & good luck on your sale.
Sony RX100 VII is far superior to my old Canon G16 that had a 2/3” inch sensor. I have used it for a backup camera for extensive foreign travel. However, my Panasonic G9 and small M43 PL lenses are my go to travel kit. Good luck.
Nice photos. Until a few years ago I thought of these noisy & belligerent birds as a nuisance until I also began to photograph them. The iridescent colors fascinate me as I look at what once was a bird to ignore and now quite pretty. There is a life lesson in there somewhere. Thank you for sharing.
