While shooting pictures of one of my favorite raptors, on Wednesday, he looked down at me and gave me this look.
Now that's intense.

Due to the file size, this is a quick download. May I suggest you do it just to see his eyes.

Great capture!

Pfc Magnuson came home on recruiter's assistance for the month of December while he waits for a spot at his MOS school in OK.

It's nice to have him home...it's strange the way he acts now...he's so mature...he dresses nicely, he can't stand his hair to get long and dig those Marine issue Birth-control-Glasses!

Oorah!

I'm very happy for you rpavich, and abundant blessings to your Marine...and to you and your family! :-)

I shot these at Longwood Gardens located outside of Philly- closer to Delaware. The place is beautiful. I think I got lucky with these (because I'm not very good).

I'm always harping on the fact that you can do a "decent" portrait anywhere and don't need fancy backgrounds or anything.

I shot this over the top of a workmates cubicle while his cube-mates black down vest hung on the chair behind him.

I centered his head on the jacket to get a uniform black background around his head, and shot away.

I extended the black area in photoshop.

Really...you don't need much.

I realize that I should have manipulated the overhead light a bit to get rid of his racoon eyes and light one side of his face more than the other but....live and learn.
I'm always harping on the fact that you can do a &... (show quote)

Great job!

Noticed the sky starting to change this morning when I was feeding the horses, had to run back to house for my camera. I think this is the calm before the storm as the next few days we have snow in the forecast.

Very pretty!

These are some of the Swans I spent the day with Friday
at Kellogg Bird Sanctuary.
I think they were showing off their flying skills by buzzing us with in a few feet! You know they are close when 150mm is to close!

Beautiful, well done!

Can you (or anyone) tell me why some have black feet while others have yellow?

This is the 2nd buck that apparently got hooked in the eye
from sparring. I am sure he will be fine once the infection leaves his eye. The one from yesterday was not so lucky, hes permanently blinded in his left eye.

The doe are alerted and watching patches come home for the morning.. They probably think its that pig that came in a month back and were not quite sure what to think of it.

Well done!
