I just purchased a used Nikon AF-S VR 70-200mm 2.8 G lens. The lens foot was not included with the lens. Apparently the seller lost it some how. I have looked on Google and have had no luck finding one. Does anybody have an idea where I might find one ? Maybe somewhere I might find a diagram with the part number on it ? I would really appreciate any help I could get from great folks on the forum.

Is this what you are looking for---"foot for Nikon AF-S VR 70-200mm 2.8 G lens"?? If so, use this quotation to search for a foot on Yahoo (Ebay)!-- China makes them for abt. $25! Just trying to help!

Well, my experience with cataract surgery is different. The first surgery was very successful (my right eye) then I had my left eye done and I was as happy as could be with my eyesight. I had my appointments to follow up on the surgeries and it was discovered that the pressure in my right eye was getting abnormally high and I was advised to take eyedrops to lower the pressure but I was told that the eyedrops would cost in the vicinity of $100 per bottle to which I objected and then given the choice of having a "device" put in my eye socket to drain the fluid causing the excess pressure. I went along with having the "device" placed. Immediately after the operation my eyesight was ruined because I was no longer able to see correctly as my right eye was seeing in a different direction like these green lizards we see on TV, i.e. my eyes were no longer compatable with my left eye--------and it is still the same today. Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment (one of several) and my eye pressure is now 18/18 as compared to normal (10-21). My eye glasses were fitted with a prism in attempting to rectify the incongruency of my right eye but this isn't working so far. My left eye is in great shape and I can still take photos!! Anyone have a similar experience????

I have seen this site listed on this forum: Rick@Discountcamerarepair.com It is located in Colorado and no, I haven't had any repair work done by Rick... of course I'd contact Canon first.

I think that IR is used by dslr cameras for speedlites - that is as far as I know about IR. As far as using that spectrum to take pictures with is beyond me and it will stay that way! LOL

Lenses generally benefit from stopping down the aperture a couple of stops from the maximum aperture. Try taking some shots with the aperture in the f/2.8 and f/4 range. Also, check for front or back focusing issues. It's possible that your camera and lens are not well matched up and the combination is back or front focusing. Do you know exactly where the focus point(s) landed? There are plug-ins that will show the focus points.

I agree that Sony has great camcorders! They are also ahead in photo equipment but you have to pay dearly to own these cameras and lenses. Maybe I should wait and purchase older equipment. Sony has been the leader for many years in television manufacturing too. But so far, I have been purchasing Canon DSLRs because once you start with one company you are committed to their lenses, cameras and other equipment.

I also wish that members of this forum were more civil to each other instead of bickering like little children!

There is something wrong with U.S. mail - lately the mail is delivered very late (7:30 pm) and I find that the mail workers are new and inefficient. In fact a mail truck was parked in front of the mailboxes late at night with no one around as I was checking my mailbox due to the later hours -- was there the next morning! SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE MAIL SYSTEM!

Did you try standard plate (1/4"-20male thread?) If this is the size, it is easy to order one for a few $.

Oe, did you find one since Nov. 29th?

I can symphatize with you but at least it still works on your Pen EP-5. I started ordering flashes hoping to get a Master flash; I couldn't find any advertised with "master" in the discriptions. Poor me, I had to order three flashes of different brands till I ordered the Canon 550EX which is able to be used as a "master."

I have found that I like the results of my photos taken with a flash, especially indoors with poor lighting. And besides, I like to be exploring new things; anyway, I didn't spend that much money on the non-master flashes and I can use them as slaves. I have a couple Canons T1i and a 5D classic bodies to try my flashes on. Lots of fun!!

I hope that your flash returns to it's former self although I think the High speed sync. failed to work in Aperture Priority because of stroboscopic sync problems?

It is so difficult to find a sunpak pro 523px tripod release plate!!! I think that tripod is not worth very much. If you can't replace a part as simple as a release plate -- your tripod isn't worth anything --- sorry, that tells most of the story. I did a search on line for you and came up with nothing to help, and if you want to take a chance of ordering something that does not fit ---- forget about it.
