This morning, in the early light, I captured this Osprey trying to land on a tree branch. One of my better shots.

Hand held @ 800mm. Distance was about 125-150 feet away.

Canon 5Dsr - Canon 400 II DO f4 - Canon 2x III - 1/1000 - f/10 - ISO @ 1000.

Gorgeous shot Regis! All your posts are very nice but I have to agree with you this has to be one of your best shots! Very, very nice. Terri

Fantastic set. They are on my bucket list if I ever get a chance to travel.

If you ever come to Southern California I can let you know where you can “almost” always see them. Thank you for the very nice comment! Terri

Although my decision to move to Utah was motivated by skiing, last night and this morning brought home the many things here that make a wonderful retired life here. The first shot is an iPhone X grab (my wife's work with the better iPhone) of a Eagles tribute band (Long Run) performing outside courtesy of our HOA with the moon above and (unseen) a lightning show over the Wasatch to our left. The next are iPhone 6 shots of the sun coming up as I walk the dogs and the neighbors' flowers.

Very nice Mike! My husband (Alan) retired last year but still works a few days a month. We have always taken a couple of vacations a year but now try to travel for a week or more every month. I love it. I’m so lucky that he loves photography as much as I do. The only negative is he has no clue how to edit so I do it for him. Both our sons live on our back property with their families so they take care of the animals when we are gone. With them living here I always get to see and do things with the grandkids. Last week we took all of them to Kern River to go rafting. We had a ball. Terri
