Your photos are fabulous. You're so lucky to have such a colorful variety.
Thank you so much vicksart, I am very lucky I know. Some times I wish I could just take a really really wide picture to show all the birds here at one time. I need to get a sheet to mark them down. Hard to count them all, we have tried. My husband thinks it is my Koi ponds bringing more in, they have water all year round. And we feed year round, I think they tell their friends. LOL

Very well done !!
I'm glad to see the redhead.
Thanks BigBear, I am glad to see them too. Now if the Pileated would come in more. I have enough feed for them all.
The Red headed woodpeckers started coming off and on last year. Now I see it about every day. Sad the government is clear cutting the woods by the river here. So my husband said they are loosing there nesting grounds.

Really good set Krus, my preference is the Female Indigo Bunting, purely because the signature is less obtrusive, Hope I've not offended you.
quote=krus54114]what do you do on a rainy day... Take more pictures of birds. We counted 15 male Indigo buntings here today. But the Scarlet Tanager just grabs my attention every time. And I also had 2 Red headed Woodpeckers today at the same time. I was hoping to get the Tanager and a Cardinal together. Some day!

GWR100, No you have not offended me. I do that because one of my pictures have been used in a mag. with out any credits. So when ever I post anything on line I do that now. Sorrry

thehing,
Thank you so very much, I know I am lucky to have all these birds. And I thank the Lord every time I get a new bird in my yard.

nice shots, you sure have a variety of birds
Thanks canonjohn922,
I would never get any work done if I tried to photography everyone in one day.
I have 2 koi ponds and we feed birds all year round. My husband thinks the ponds bring in a lot of them.

This set came as a result of a post where it was asked if very high shutter speeds are ever used.
Since most of my BIF pictures of larger birds, I rarely get to practice on little ones, but I should do it more often.
It's the song birds that are the most difficult.
In this set I'll ask you to pick one that IMHO is the toughest of all and I have a garbage pail full of OOF images to prove it. Have fun.
Wow is all I can say to all of them, can't choose what one I like the best. I have not had the chance this spring to do in flight pictures, rainy and cold here in Wisconsin. If the sun would just come out while I am at home. But I think the hardest would of been the Barn Swallows fighting. Or I could be the Kestrel in flight. They are always on the move.
On a nice sunny day I have gotten the humming birds. They are all great, really hard to choose. Great Job!
