That's cool Marc I like the nebulosity and that wispiness ? I've been out just not as much as I would like so far and now here comes the heat.

Thanks mate. Us in the UK are just coming up to our short nights of darkness & humidity.

Following two clear nights I managed to get out last night.
Setting up 21:30 & ready to image @ 22:00.
Utilizing the SW AZ/GTi & brilliant Askar FMA 135mm I didn't want to waste to much time searching for a suitable target thus headed over to our pole star Polaris in attempt to capture the Integrated Flux Nebula.
Here we 5hrs of integration before the sun rose.

Techy Bits......
Askar 135mm
Altair Astro filter holder
UV / IV Cut filter
Altair Astro 269c pro tec
Skywatcher AZ/GTI in EQ mode.
APT for PA, focus, plate solve, dithering & imagining.
PHD2 for guiding.
Lights 100 @ 180s 285g HGC 25os (-5c)
Darks 10 180s

OK, bla. But I was going after subjects I knew for a test.
I was testing the new scope, NINA, Plate solve, focusing, and of course my patience.

As Marc sez: The techy bits:

Astro Tech AT130EDT - 130mm (5.12 Inches) ED Triplet
Losmandy GM811G HD Mount
Sharpcap Pro Polar aligned - My way, as close to zeros as I can get it. (Over achiever)
Mount Aligned on 5 stars West, and 5 stars East
NINA file Sequence - Attained from Stellarium, Plate Solved and centered with Astrometry.net. Autofocused with ASI EAF and NINA, Filters used EFW L,R,G,B No darks no flats in this image.
Stacked with ASIDeepStack and saved automatically as FIT, TIF, and JPG. I like that! I don't have to mess around converting FIT files to something for the Internet. I no longer hate FIT files.
After realizing -15°C is only 5°F, I lowered my cooling to -20°C for a try.
These are 20 second, X 10ea of the 4 filters. Not long like a Nebula would be, just stars.

Feel free to download and play. I'll give you the JPG and the TIF files to work with if you'd like to, per my usual open door Internet Policy. Have fun!
The plate solving jury is still out. I think Astometry.net might like the images from the new telescope. But if they aren't sharp, the web site doesn't return results. So I'm still learning, and the Autofocusing or the EAF still needs some tuning.

But I'm happy, and the "Meat of the Matter" is the longer focal length is giving me the subject without a huge star field. More of what I'm looking for. At this point I'm happy with the field as it is. But a field flattener is in the thought tank. I often cropped my images to focus on the subject, and not the corners.
I'm getting deep into NINA for my immediate equipment. I really like the automation of watching things work on their own, when everything works. When it doesn't, I try to figure it out and move along.
Since I've gone with ZWO ASI Cameras, Filter wheel, and Focuser, NINA finally works,

I also took files of the Rose Cluster, but something went wrong and they don't seem to want to process.
Operator Error again. My filing seems to stink.
OK, bla. But I was going after subjects I knew for... (show quote)

This looks really good mate, are you using a flattener yet?
If not, this looks like a nice flat field

Darn thing is a $200 add on.

My mistake also.
It's 910 mm. Not 1000mm

Looks like a beaut mate.
Like BWA said, I would highly recommend a reducer / flattener when you have the funds

Hiya mate,
Looks like things are coming together for you again.
Software issues are always a challenge hence why I try to lock out any potential updates until I have a good look at what the updates are actually doing (it's worth doing a back up / restore point before updates).
Nice images too.
I still see a slight problem with the back spacing between the imaging sensor & field flattener. According to your star shapes I would say the flattener is to close & needs shimming out a tad.

Still pretty cloudy here

take care mate. Marc

I think I nailed it. Suddenly it dawned on me I might need to change the coin battery in my mounts controller.
Sure enough, it was weak.
The proof will come tonight, But I think I got it.
(The coin battery maintains the tiny memory in the controller. When it gets weak, things get wacky. Most computers have one sort or another tiny battery that maintains the boot memory)
Keeping my fingers crossed for tonight.

Hoping for clear skies for you!
