I would go to Harbor freight and get a small movers dolly that all four wheels spin freely. Tip the tank up on one end, slide the dolly in crossways, and roll it out. Be sure to get the small dolly that will fit through the doors. I moved many a piano with those dollies.
Many many years ago the bicyclists in Lubbock Texas would remove all the reflectors from their bikes in an effort to reduce weight. They also ignored stop signs. I vividly remember three instances where I almost hit one at night.
It was actually easier sometimes to deliver a grand than the old uprights that were made in the 40’s.
You can usually get access to the nuts holding the legs on by taking the cheek blocks out on each end. I rarely had to do that when moving one unless the leg had been damaged by dragging the piano across carpet without taking the weight off the legs. As I said earlier, a good set of piano dollys work wonders.
Moving a piano is all about having the right tools and technique. As part of my job at a piano company in Texas I had to deliver all sizes of pianos and organs to pretty much all across the state. Most people don’t realize that you can move a piano on its end and by letting the ground help you so that you are not having to lift the entire weight of the instrument along with a good set of piano dollies, an instrument can be put almost anywhere as long as the door is wide enough. Using the right technique I’ve loaded upright pianos onto pickups by myself. It’s mostly technique.
I went to the movie house to see the last James Bond movie. It seemed like every time the actors would say something that let you know what just happened the music would drown them out. I had to buy the dvd and turn on closed captions to find out what they said. Have to do the same with the current tv shows. Don’t have to do that with the vintage shows such as Hogan’s Heroes, Emergency, Adam 12, e t.
Jerry several years ago I got a carrier mount that looks almost identical to the one sold by Cotton Carrier. It is a tripod mount with a receiver that mounted on to the strap of my backpack as I liked having my Nikon D5000 with the 18-200 zoom with me hiking. The camera locks onto the receiver and surprisingly doesn’t bounce or move at all. That company doesn’t seem to exist anymore but a similar system is sold by Cotton Carrier.
I still have my Nikonos but haven’t been able to dive in years. On a trip to Baja I was fortunate to have a very large Manta Ray swim directly over me at high noon. I took several shots only to find out after I got home that I had loaded the film wrong while on the boat and had nothing on the film. To this day I kick myself in the rear for that mistake.
I read on another site that it would be best not to have a destination in your gps called home. If someone steals your gps then they know where you live.
My wife and I use the my files app included in the android system to view files from the Sd card from a game camera. You have to go through several folders to get to the pictures but it works ok.
I just found out today that my wife’s niece quit teaching because she was threatened by a student with a gun in her classroom and the principal wouldn’t do anything about it. The scary thing was the student was a 10 year old elementary student. My wife taught 29 years but would not even think about going back in today’s world.
I had shingles on the left side of my face 1 1/2 years ago. I went through periods of intense pain starting from my ear and radiating to the rest of my face. Luckily I only had one episode while driving and was able to pull over before it peaked. Really wish I had gotten that shot. Still have numbness.
My wife and I like to kayak and many times I have recorded as long as 3 hours. I used the largest memory card the GoPro would take and kept several spare batteries. Never had a problem.
I think this one might go lower. It takes 640x480 pics. The memory is limited to 27 pictures and you cannot delete one at a time. You can delete all or none. When the memory is full it will not take any more pictures until you delete them. No memory card slot. Transferring to a computer takes a proprietary cable which I have no idea of where it’s at. I assume it has pictures in it since at the time I bought it I did not have a computer so I never downloaded them. Expensive mistake.
I had the privilege of performing with him around 1970 when he performed with the Texas Tech Going Marching Band. He was awesome then and still had it at 87.
