Wow. And the guy who started two wars for no reason (and lied to Americans to get them to go along), jailed innocents and killed civilians with no connection to anything that would harm the USA, spied on his fellow Americans and allowed Wall Street to rob us blind - well, that guy you supported. But this guy, Obama, he's a disgrace and a danger.

God help this country with people who think like that.

Well said and spot on!!!

First they are not entitlements we paid into those programs and I expect a return on my investment.
Second those programs only have a shortfall because scumbag politicians started tapping the SS account for other things and have not paid it back or in the case of Medicare mismanaged the program and haven't kept up with the rising costs of health care. So drop the entitlement BS we support those by our contributions and we need to adjust accordingly the vast majority want to maintain them.

No, sorry, it is not the color of Sharpton's skin nor the gender of Maddow, it is their qualifications to advise the President that I question. 8-)

Let the right wing-nuts come out to whine about everything. He could have invited Rush Limp-cog & Ann Coulter but the screaming and distortions would never end with the one up on you team....

Well, I guess that we will have to grin and bear it. Let's not forget about all those Presidential Vacations....

Uhmm Rix, Bush is no longer President.

What a bunch of whine bag (T-BAG) sore losers give it a rest do a little objective research before you start your rants and you wont look so dumb or hateful if thats possible...

Yes, praise be to Allah  however you obviously didn't read this right-slanted article that continued on about the President's holiday vacations.

Ha, you obviously did not understand the point being made about this year's Presidential holiday vacation, which was the irony of having all those Christmas trees and hardly being there to enjoy them. Not only did I read the article, I comprehended it.

Repeat after me, Bush is no longer President......Bush is no longer President...... 8-)

The Christmas trees will add to the enjoyment of those taking the tour, I am sure.

Yes, I am sure those 54 trees are just the right number to bring smiles on all those touring faces.

So....did you peruse your political image prior to posting it Rix? 8-)

A bit about the company where the article was taken from:
24/7 Wall St., LLC is a Delaware corporation set up to run a financial news and opinion operation with content delivered over the Internet. The company’s articles are republished by many of the largest news sites and portals, including Aol’s DailyFinance, MarketWatch, MSNBC, MSN Money, Yahoo! Finance, Comcast and The Huffington Post.

Hmm, lot's of "right wing" news sites and portals listed above. :D

I know it's much easier to dismiss things by generalizations but how about sharing some of the hooey and shallow analysis contained within the article?

Negative views of California are not based on anecdotes such as "I like living here". They are based on a decade of huge budget deficits that continue today, a characteristic of many progressive population centers. Yes, Brown has implemented tax increases and other measures that he claims will result in a surplus, but time will tell if that prediction comes true. Such measures historically produce temporary improvements. I guess we'll see.

But if you prefer anecdotes, then I live in Arizona. Folks move here either from the north to avoid the cold, or from California to escape the high costs.

It is obvious that you were also attempting to make the point that now with a Democratic Governor (that nut from the past), "headway" is now being made in fixing California's problems.

If "headway" could not be made with a total Democratic control of the State legislature for 41 out of 42 years then I doubt Jerry Brown is the answer.

California is the great progressive experiment and has been a miserable failure. 8-)

Not so, I am cynical yes, but I attempt to see and evaluate all points of view, then make my own personal decision. It is true I have a negative view of how the state of California has been governed, and I am sure I am not alone in that view. 8-)

You can can call it cynical if you want. As far as your negative view, others do share that view they are however a minority in Ca. As a registered Independent I to look at all sides and do my research before making a decision and still as I said wouldn't live anywhere else. BTW I've lived in Fla WI TX Neb NV and CA so I base my thoughts on experience not politics. California is a great place to live in my humble opinion...

Interesting info on how the Republican Party inefficiently spent all the money they had on the Past election. The top consultants in the Romney campaign were paid 134 million dollars in this past election versus the top consultants in the Obama campaign being paid only 6 million. It seems the Democrats spent their money with less nepotism and favoritism. To quote James Carville, " It's stunning that a community organizer would be so much more efficient than a head of one the largest private equity funds".
