"Electronic First Curtain Shutter" versus "Silent Shutter" modes.

I have a Lumix GX7 that has a silent mode which is the electronic shutter and it really is silent. When taking a picture of hummingbirds when they are moving they get pretty distorted, think they call that 'rolling shutter'. Looks weird to say the least. Not sure if the Sony does that or not, YMMV.
