I went back and looked again at the sample image in question and it looks like maybe the exposure compensation had been hiked a little bit. Just a thought.

When I got my Olympus M10 II a couple of months ago, I had heard (from a friend) that the 14-42 II was not stellar, and the 12-40 was bigger than I really wanted, so I got the Panasonic 14-42 power lens and am very happy with it so far. However, the 45 f/1.8 has proved to be the sharpest, but I have trouble with framing sometimes since I was so used to zooms.
