Go glass it,s better by a thousand miles.I use the Lee 100mm system and had a pro glass 0.6 ND until I dropped it on concrete. They say when you die you remember your past life thats nothing compared to dropping one of these and watching it bounce down the steps but back to the issue. If you buy plastic (they call it resin but it,s still plastic and scratches very easily) as has already been said do not go cheap you will regret it for sure. When I dropped the pro glass on the steps I had to buy a new one so to cut a very very long story short I thought that I would try Ebay I was able to get Schneider 4x5.65 used filters of 0.3 and 0.6 and a Tiffen 0.9 for just a little bit more than the Lee pro glass and whats more they are like new maybe I was lucky but you should give it try even used glass is better than new plastic good luck.If you think glass is to expensive just get an 0.6ND it will do most of what you need and expand later.

Thankyou Bret,I will put that in my note book.I assume you put the camera on the rail set to 1.1 set focus to manual and move along the rail to focus.

Hi all,
I have come up with an idea to help me get better macro shots if someone has tried this before I have not read it and I read a lot of how to stuff.I would like to point out that I am getting on in years and my eyes are suffering because of this so getting perfect focus is not easy.
So here is my plan I have the Canon 100mm L IS macro lens paired with a 5D MKII I want to set up the camera on a tripod close to a flower then focus on a predetermined point of said flower and with a 7" Lilliput HD screen and wireless remote connected to the camera sit and wait for the shot.Do you think this will work or do I need to get out more?

Hi all,
I would like to show you something that appeared on just one image when I was in a graveyard taking shots for a startrail.Because I was bored and had,nt tried it before I thought I would have a go.The image in question! In the top lefthand corner the stars are joined by a line the image before and the image after did,nt show this at all.Anybody out there seen this before or have a clue what it is?
I have attached two images (I hope) one of the line joining the stars and the other is the second attempt at a startrail it needs more work but I like the actual trail.
PS I think it could be an insect but where does the light come from!
