Okay so I have done 3 weddings (that was enough for me) the first was a gift for my brother and his wife, the second I did for a lady I work with for very cheap as in I think I came home with $100 after all was said and done. The thirrd wedding I had a contract written up for the couple specifying that they would receive 250 photos a CD and an album for $500 any more photos besides that would be $5.00 per every 10 there after, I took well over 800 photos all together and they wanted almost them all so I did pretty well at that wedding. The couple originally wanted no more than 250 photos, but they couldn't resist. I also made sure that they knew that I was an ameture photographer.

I did a wedding photoshoot from which I got some wonderful, tack sharp, photos (thanks to advice from many of you).
Because it was my first wedding shoot I did the job for very little $ and instead of having them pay for prints or making an album for them (not interested in doing that), I agreed to give them all the photos on a DVD and they can print them, post them, etc. as they wish. (I kept copyrights)
There was no set minimum number of photos in the contract. My problem is (unexpectedly) that, not counting the candid shots, I have, like, over 400 photos that are good. (I totally overshot the wedding, yeah, I know.) I don't mind giving them all to the couple, but it occurred to me that the # might overwhelm the couple as it has, me.
Advice, please!
